time: saturday 12:45
i was tired. the first week of school is always tough. but it was saturday and i had made it. it was actually the best first week of school i had ever had. considering my 5 days of photography with luke. we had grown to be decent friends, he was actually my best friend at the school so far. i had met other friends too. i spent some time trying to get to know vivian. she was a little tough to get information out of but she seemed like a nice girl. i had learned she wanted to be on broadway. i wondered if she was one of those girls who was quiet in person but really opened up on the stage. probably. I had also briefly introduced myself to a pretty blonde girl named Aisling. She was nice but our conversation was short lasted. so i sat on the bench in the courtyard, listened to music, and scribbled into my notebook for literature. our teacher was demanding that we write in our "personal journals" everyday. so i was just writing about the people that walked by in the courtyard. boring. i was happy here. even though i felt as though my neck was burning from the scorching sun above me. i pulled my hair out from the braid it was in and let my hair flow over my neck, covering it from the sun. much better. i shook my hair and combed the stray pieces back with my fingers. gosh my hair was out of control. whatever. "is this seat taken?" i looked up to see a blonde boy with medium length hair. "no, not at all" i said motioning for him to sit. "im hayden" i said extending my hand. "dylan." he replied. shaking my hand. he was a little bit shorter than me and had green eyes that resembled the color of grass. he looked young. maybe he was a freshman. "how old are you?" i asked. just letting my mouth run. "oh im a freshman." he said. "cool." he started doodling in a notebook. i peeked over his shoulder. he was drawing a landscape. it was unbelievably good. "hey thats really good." i told him. "oh thanks!" he replied a little bit suprised but he seemed happy none the less. "hayden!" i heard my name being called. i turned my head to see maria a girl from my chemistry class walking toward me. i turned to dylan. "i have to go. it was nice to meet you." i told him. "ya same. bye" he was a nice kid. he seemed so little. i waved goodbye. and jogged towards maria. "hey! whats up?" she seemed eager to share some information with me. "okay, well." she started. "okay so i heard from alexa who heard from nick, who heard from paulo that luke is looking for you." she smiled. i laughed. "okay cool thanks maria." maria's eyes seemed to shine with curiousity. "so is the rumor true?" she asked me. "what rumor?" i asked. "the rumor that some girl has finally been able to charm mr. luke hartford?" "what do you mean?" i asked, now i was the curious one. "well he is quite a cute boy now isnt he?" maria continued. "well a lot and i mean A LOT of girls have tried to woo him before. and none of them have been successful. so far your the only girl he has ever taken a liking too." "ooo i get it. but really maria me and luke are just friends right now." i told her. "well whatever" she said sarcastically "from the looks of it you just might be the only girl here worthy of mister hartfords infatuation. your one lucky girl. im not gonna lie even I have tried to catch his attention." that was actually saying something. maria was beautiful. she had dark skin and blue eyes that shone. most of the guys looked at her like some sort of goddess. "go find him!" she said pushing me away. "okay! okay!" i said laughing. "thanks maria!" i said running away from her.
