jencirino -- Love the shawl-neck poncho as well -- definitely look forward to your review! The pattern on this one is a herringbone -- pretty much like a wool blazer herringbone would look (and feel). It's itchy on bare skin for sure.
I love the little glovettes, lol. This poncho was on my list too, but I ended up getting the shawl neck poncho, and I LOVE that one. Its thinner, and made of a soft sweatshirt-type material. I'll probably post a review of it this weekend, but its honestly great. I'm still considering giving this one a try, but, I did see it in the store last weekend, and theres a slight pattern to it when you look up close that I didn't love. And not to mention it just looked super itchy. We'll see....
justvisiting -- I definitely love that Funnelneck Sweatshirt too! I did see Dina's & Summerilla's reviews, so didn't think I'd like it at all. So it was a pleasant surprise. :) I agree, the itch-factor is annoying -- how awesome would lining have been? lol, too much to ask.
Love this look!! "...one of those outfits I'll grab for again and again" is exactly how I feel about the Funnelneck Sweatshirt. I had the Cowlneck Poncho on my list to try but nixed it after reading the reviews & irl's on Summerilla and Dina's blogs. Glad it works for you & can't wait to see it! Although this poncho looks more 'chic', I love the Funnelneck sweatshirt and will 'settle' for it. lol (And why do they have to add the itchy wool? For warmth, I know but most people are likely to wear it with one or two layered items anyway.)
I love it!! It definitely is big and slouchy, so it might not be good on everyone, and some might be sized out of it. But I loved that slouchiness. It's wool, so is a bit itchy on bare skin, but honestly, it's not really touching the skin. I'd likely wear turtlenecks with it mostly anyway. It's cozy and I think a perfect jacket alternative.
