Full Figured Fashion Week in New York

Full Figured Fashion Week begins in New York on June 13. Talented designers will show their collections of fashions that can take you from beach to ballroom. These Polyvore members and fashion bloggers have created beautiful sets highlighting fashions to come. How would you style full-figured fashions this week?

I'm only 4'11" and dealing with a postpartum size 8! That may not seem "plus size" to many, but on such a small frame, it's pretty hard to get dressed in the morning- I can end up looking like a tiny sack of potatoes instead of a tiny hourglass! To be clear- I love (most) of my new curves- haha! I simply wish there were more sets created for curvy petites, because I'm used to dressing for a thinner body- but this is so wonderful, and I got a lot of good ideas here :)

Not only am I full-figured (size 14), but I'm also petitie...double hell when it comes to finding clothes that fit and are flattering. All my sets are outfits I would wear (with proper tailoring of course!)

I am a size 14-16 so all my sets are perfect for curvy fashion! A lot of dressing is choosing clothes that are the right line for your body shape (apple, hour glass, pear, columnar). Yea for Curvy Fashion Week! (As the majority of us are now in this size bracket!!!)

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to the poster(s) who create collections just for us, the non-skinny ones. I am a fit size 10 but, by the new "standards", I am considered fat. Seeing someone actually care to make a full-figured sets is very, very much appreciated!

I agree with @tulipface. Why separate us. But super that they're even posting this. Well done!

I love that we have our own fashion week, we don't have to share the catwalk with anyone else who doesn't understand our voluptuousness :) love it love it love

tulipface, I don't see why they can't show these right along with all the other stuff at the regular fashion week! I am all for the curvy ladies and don't see why they should be treated any differently, is weight-ism! I am so skinny I have no curves at all, lol, so I really do admire the curvy girls and don't see them as less than but as just as beautiful and it is about time for there to be more choices for women who aren't all skinny or super tall for that matter and I agree with snakeophelia, about the age thing as well! People are beautiful no matter what size, being bigger doesn't equal ugly and skinny doesn't equal beautiful let me tell you!

We need more clothes/sets on Polyvore like this! Even those of us who are not officially "full-figured" avoid the drapey tops, skinny jeans, short shorts, and so on because those are not flattering on anyone who isn't stic- thin and young. These are all great ideas!

This is so amazing!!!! I may never be a size 4 but I love fashion and for some of the designers to recognize that we are NOT all model thin is awesome. I will buy plus size items that are not polyester, cost a bit more and don't have kittens on them. LOL We real women love fashion immensley and just want to be included. Yay Polyvore for recognizing that! You just gained a ton of respect for a whole'lot'a people.

It's about time! Still do not like the terms "full figured" or "plus size" because most of the time they are AVERAGE-sized women (i.e. not typical runway models). Nonetheless, this is GREAT!

It's nice to see clothes highlighted on Polyvore for all the "real women" out here!

I wish I could curse on Polyvore right now. Not bad cursing, but cursing at the AMOUNT OF AWESOMENESS flowing from this collection. Big girl out!
