David Ash wanted to photograph the city at a time when nobody was around to give a sense of stillness and calm and to take the city out of the its usual context i.e. devoid of it’s inhabitants. This gives the viewer a fresh view to see the streets and architecture in these quiet photographs, as it’s own entity with a possible narrative. These photographs of Los Angeles are Ash's subjective and transitory impressions of Another Place. 38 x 32 Chromogenic print Signed on verso Each image is available in editions of 7.
