"She says nothing at all, but simply stares upward into the dark sky and watches, with sad eyes, the slow dance of the infinite stars." ~Neil Gaiman
Here, you are free to create and express yourself however you may wish, daydreams are both light and dark. The only limits that you have are those created by your own mind so let your imagination run wild.
I’m currently working to get the online zine off the ground (got derailed because my new work just ate all my time up) and would love it if you’d consider being a part of the project. It’s nothing extravagant. No fancy promotions. Just people sharing what they love, what they do and in some way, a bit of themselves as well.
The first issue’s theme would be “the self”. You can submit essays, stories, drawings photographs, snippets of poetry… basically anything you see fit for as long as it revolves around that idea.
I am also open to submissions for the front cover. A drawing, collage, photograph etc.. would be very much welcome.
You can send me a private message here or on my tumblr (theinfinitesadness) and I’ll send you the email to which you can submit your lovely works.
I don’t think I’ve covered everything here but that’s it for the moment. Please message me for any questions. Thank you!
Now, for those wondering…
As the zine itself is not for profit, the submissions will not be paid for. However, you will be properly credited and the rights/ownership will remain yours. I shall, of course, be sending you a little something something of my own creation as a gesture of thanks. :)
Create a set inspired by a photograph. Whether it be the feeling that the photo conveys or something more concrete such as the colours and textures, your sets have to take cues from your featured photo.
