Miuccia Prada creates accessories that women adore. When she took over the family business in 1978, she introduced the tough yet elegant black nylon totes and backpacks that would become the company's staples. These days, the products, while functionally utilitarian, often veer into whimsy with curlicued temples on the sunglasses and appliqued flowers on the sky-high heels.
