There are TWO challenges with Maleficent-the horned head dress and the makeup. SO SO SO much can go wrong picking the correct shade of green for your skin. It's best to practice, practice, practice. Stay away from that greasy halloween face paint and blend on a light green shadow and build up highlights and low lights and use a good spray fixative to keep it in place OR skip the green skin and go for a Maleficent inspired eye makeup instead! The horned headdress...I've never seen it done well. I have seen some cute alternatives- like little black horns that you tie on, or glue to a headband..and some super cute twisted up twin tails made to look like horns and fabulous glittery horned crowns! Then, go for a slinky black dress, a cape and maybe a staff and you're all set. Attitude is Everything with Maleficent!

Beauty For Ashes

A group for anyone healing from physical, mental or emotional illness. Creating Art is proven to help the brain in the healing process. Together we can inspire, support, and express our experiences. "Contests" are not for competition's sake, but as an art gallery exhibit with "shows" on themes.
This group consists of members of all ages and varied backgrounds! Due to the sensitive nature of the group we ask that no sets contain any form of nudity, no matter how tasteful or artistic they may be.
Beauty for Ashes Group supports all Polyvore guidelines including those prohibiting the use of vulgarity and violence in sets. There are young children in our group so we also ask that no set be submitted with sexual innuendo. Any sets that do not meet guidelines will be automatically deleted.
Thank you for helping make this group a safe, compassionate, and encouraging place for all our members! We hope the Beauty for Ashes Group can be a tool in your healing.
