Discover, shop and express your style

This week's DIY is inspired by Aurelie Bidermann's gorgeous braided necklaces. To create your own, you'll need a gold chain that is thick enough to braid through, embroidery thread, wire cutters, pliers and a clasp. Begin by measuring and cutting the chain to your desired length. Depending on the thickness of your chain, cut about four long pieces of the embroidery thread. Knot the thread to the clasp and attach it to the end of the chain with pliers. Pull the thread through the chain and wrap over and under, keeping the chain laying flat. When you get to the end of the chain, knot off the thread and trim the ends. Attach the other end of the clasp with pliers.

Thanks to Cheetah is the New Black (http://www.cheetahisthenewblack.com/2012/05/diy-aurelie-bidermann-inspired-chain.html) for this awesome DIY!

Totally chic!! I googled Joann Fabrics & found all the necessary items for less than $17..yay! The priciest of which were the pliers & wire cutters, however these tools can be used again & again for future projects. Thx so much for sharing..can't wait to try this DIY :)
