Jordan’s blue hues looked down to his watch, he was running alittle late, he was visiting his sisters and dropping off them off a few things on his way through town. Pulling up into the parking lot, he put his dark SUV into park, getting out his dark haired pooches followed out. Waiting for him eagerly the dogs whined as he grabbed his phone from the cupholder shoving it into the pocket of his tan shorts, closing the door he locked it. Fixing his dark t-shirt as he started walking. Holding onto the leases until he got into the park.
Hoping the blonde didn’t leave considering he was running only a couple minutes late he was relieved to see her standing near the entrance. He approaching her smiling instantly it would have been crazy to call this woman anything but beautiful and even that didn’t cover it. Flashing his charming smile as he looked down to the watch again. His face went sincere as he spoke. “I’m so sorry.” Jordan knew of Annabelle he had heard of her from co workers even had bumped into her before so he knew it wouldn’t be awkward hanging out with her.
Noticing the coffee cart not far he smiled and pointed. “Would you like something?”
Lucy and Anna had made it to the park ten minutes early or so since they lived fairly close to it. The young blonde had opted for walking today since the weather was so nice out. Wearing a pair of teal blue jeans that hugged at her hips perfectly and a white v-neck loose fitted shirt that gave him a small peek at her well rounded chest; but nothing too revealing.
Spotting Jordan and his two dogs walking up towards her, the young blonde couldn’t help but grin widely at him. It would be pointless to deny that Jordan was attractive, Anna was fairly certain every girl at Poise thought he was cute. Which is why it surprised her that he had wanted to spend some time with her. “Oh don’t worry about it.” Anna reassured her friend with a shake of her head, dismissing it.
Glancing at the coffee cart he had motioned to, she pursed her lips for a brief moment in thought.“Actually an iced coffee does sound good right about now.” she nodded, gesturing for them to walk over together. Holding onto Lucy’s leash with one hand, she dug her wallet out of her purse with the other one, getting ready to pay for her own drink.
As they approached the coffee cart he noticed her digging for her wallet. Gently placing his hand on the wallet and just shaking his head. He knew about what most people would call a disability, knowing full well she could read lips he wondered how rusty his sign language skills were or even if she did he didn’t want to look like he was assuming things. Knowing full well it pissed him off when people did that with his sisters. He was looking forward to spending time with her, from what he saw she was fun and really sweet. It was something to feel comfortable with someone so easily but it was just something about her.
Getting to the coffee cart he would normally order coffee but it was a hot day, ordering a iced mocha instead knowing a cool drink would be better reaching into his pocket while trying to tame the two hyperactive pups.
"Oh, thank you." Anna gave him an appreciative smile when he silently let her know that he’d be getting the bill for this. She got herself an iced vanilla late and slipped her wallet back into her purse. Seeing the struggle of trying to keep his two puppies calm and on the leash while he tried to get the money out of his wallet, Anna crouched down in front of them to pet them, hoping to calm them down and keep their attention long enough for him to be able to pay.
Once their coffees were made and they were headed towards a bench, she turned to look at him. "So what are their names?" she asked him curiously, taking a seat on a nearby empty park bench. Anna balanced her drink on her lap for a brief moment as she unhooked Lucy from her leash. After some prodding and reassuring to the dog that she’d be okay, Lucy trotted happily towards the other dogs to play with. Anna turned her body so she was sitting somewhat sideways on the bench, allowing herself a better view of his face to read his lips. It was always a nice perk when the person you had to stare at constantly was attractive, and today, that perk was very much present.
Jordan just looked over to her smiling. “It’s my pleasure, really.” He nodded his facial expression offering sincerity more then his words. His dogs were always excited to be in public even if they were there daily, all the smells changed over night and they had to sniff it out. Paying for the coffee he turned to her when they were waiting. Pointing to the darker dog, which was the only difference between them one being slightly lighter then the other. “That one is Oliver.” Pointing to the lighter dog. “And he’s Basil.” Taking their drinks they started into the park once they sat down he put his coffee down while his dogs jumped and pawed at him until their leashes were undone. Picking the coffee up.
Watching them run free he smiled turning back to her his arm draping around the back of the bench allowing his body to face her more, it didn’t hurt that it was a much better view of the extremely attractive woman before him. “Again I’m really sorry I was late, I was dropping cookies off to my sisters.” He scoffed at his own words knowing how stupid the excuse sounded but it was the truth. “They also got riled up during the visit.” He was speaking of the dogs of course.
Anna grinned at each dog as they were introduced to her, and she happily gave them a few pats on the head in greeting. "They are adorable." she smiled warmly, laughing softly when one of them licked at her hand. “I’m surprised you were able to find an apartment that let you have a pet, let alone two.”Anna never had a problem with trying to find a place to live that allowed animals. Since Lucy was a service dog, she was often exempt from the regulations and fees for having animals in apartment buildings.
The young blonde kept her eyes on his mouth as he spoke, reading his lips easily. “It’s fine, you weren’t even that late at all.” She reassured the handsome brunette, shaking her head. “You said they were only ten months old, right?” she asked, wanting to make sure she had the information right. They were definitely hyper like puppies at that age would be. Anna took a sip of her drink before asking him, "How old are your sisters?"
Once the dogs were introduced and let off the leash Jordan nodded and smiled agreeing with her “So is she.” His eyes diverted to the dogs that were now running and chancing after each other playing. “It was a task, but I pay a whole lot more. They are worth it.” Smilng still his eyes wandered over the woman’s facial features before him, he didn’t want to make her think he was staring but he enjoyed seeing her.
He gave her a half shrug “I know but still… Anyone would be crazy to keep you waiting.” He gave her a wink. Taking a sip of the coffee smiled and nodded to confirm her question “Yeah 10 months.” Taking another drink of the iced coffee, it was his favorite place to get coffee. “Same age as me. We are triplets actually. And I shamefully admit to being 33.”
"Thanks. She’s a great dog." she smiled a bit, knowing full well that her life would not run as smoothly as it did without her in it. “It’s nice that so many places around here though are dog friendly.” She noted with a small nod of her head. Heck even the mall allowed you to bring in your dogs, mainly because most people who lived around here had dogs they put in purses or strollers - but it was still nice.
The wink made Anna blush a bright shade of pink and for a brief moment she looked down at her lap shyly, trying to compose herself. She looked back up at him just in time to read his lips about his sisters. "There is nothing wrong with being thirty-three." Anna reminded him, "And you look younger than that anyways." she added in, blushing when she realized she had complimented him."So are you the oldest or youngest of the three?" she quickly changed the subject, tilting her head to the side.
Jordan’s eyes kept looking over to the dogs every so often, it’s not that he didn’t trust her dog, but he was sure his dogs were pretty rough and a bit bigger then hers, but she took it with grace. Focusing back onto her once again he didn’t want to seem like he didn’t want to pay attention to her. “That’s true, I find myself traveling every where with these guys.” He said with a bright smile loving being able to take what essentially was his best friends everywhere.
Noticing the shade of pink go over her cheeks, smiling, not really sure what he did that made such a reaction possible but he wasn’t going to deny that he didn’t like it. “You look really beautiful today, I was going to mention that earlier but I was to busy being late and apologizing.” He smiled playfully. “I don’t think so either, but most don’t feel that way. I feel younger so I guess that works.” He had to think before answering that always feeling like the eldest he didn’t want to seem like it bothered him because it didn’t. “I’m the youngest, but I felt like the oldest most of the time, which is happily accepted.”
Anna could relate to that statement, but for a different reason. She smiled a bit, nodding her head."They are good company." she smiled, glancing over her shoulder to check on her dog before back at Jordan.
His compliment mixed with a joke made her laugh happily, a warm smile spreading across her face."Thank you Jordan, and really, you don’t have to apologize." she thanked him before adding in, "you look really nice too." she meant it, Jordan was an attractive man, there was no denying it. Feeling older was an interesting feeling, one she did not have to go through. But she figured he felt older to his sisters in the sense that most brothers would - protective. "Are you very close to your sisters?" she asked him curiously before sipping at her drink once more. She only had one brother and she was extremely close to him, he lived back in Oregon still but they tried to Skype at least once a week.
Jordan didn’t have many friends here, he worked and socialized minimally. His dogs were the perfect pair to have around always bringing joy. This time his eyes stayed focused on hers, trusting the pups for a bit.
Looking down at his attire versus hers. “I’d say you are dressed to impressed much better then I am.” He smiled. He was the type of brother that was over protective and did anything to stick up for his sisters. “Close doesn’t even begin to describe us. I go the home they live in at least three times a week.” He normally didn’t share so much about his family, but if anyone could understand it would have been her, everyone else was put off to an extent. “So how about you siblings?”
Anna hadn’t been talking about his attire, she had meant his face. But how was she supposed to say that without sounding weird or creepy? "Well being handsome helps… " she offered shyly, not believing it herself when she said it. How did she muster up that much courage was beyond her and now that she had said it, she wanted to go hide her face somewhere.
"Do they watch the show?" Anna asked him curiously, resting her elbow on the back of the park bench and tilting her head into the palm of it. “I only have one. An older brother who is back home in Oregon.” She answered, "we’re pretty close. He tried to convince me not to come out here actually… he’s protective in that sense. I think being the older brother and me being deaf all contribute to him worrying about me." Anna mused aloud. The young woman knew about Jordan’s sisters vaguely, and she hoped that he felt comfortable discussing that part of his life with her. Of all the employees at Poise, she would probably be one of the few who could relate the most to him and his sisters.
Jordan laughed lightly feeling a slight blush over his cheeks “I think calling me handsome is a stretch.” He gave her a smile. “But gladly accepted from you.” He tried to hide the blushing smirk, but knowing it was impossible he didn’t even try.
"They watch every episode, never miss it." He said proudly. Dropping his arm back slightly so she could rest her elbow, their skin slightly touching each others, but he didn’t mind. "Sounds like a good brother then, but I’m biased because I’m a protective brother." He looked down for a moment before looking back to her. "But I can say I’m glad you didn’t listen to him. I’d be out on some great company." Years before he may have been bothered to talk of his sisters, but not with someone that he knew would understand, it just helped that it was Anna.
It was nice to see him blush as well, it was cute on him and it helped her to feel as if she wasn’t alone. The other day she had met Ryan and all he did was make her blush, but this was different. Jordan was blushing with her. Like they were sharing this moment and she enjoyed that.
"Do you ever get a phone call from them demanding why you said or did something stupid on camera? Because my brother does that to me." she asked with a laugh. "Yeah, you brothers. Always worried about us." she teased him playfully with an eye roll to show that she was kidding around with him. His words made her heart melt just a bit and the blush come back to her face. "I’m glad I didn’t listen too…" she agreed softly, her dimples showing as her smile widened and her blush darkened.
Jordan wasn’t the type to ever say extremely bold or vulgar things, his whole life had been surrounded by others doing so and he hated it personally. Being around her was refreshing, knowing he wasn’t the only one that blushed at the drop of an honest compliment.
"Well, I don’t say much on camera ever, but when I do, I usually manage to say something stupid, so they more so poke fun at me and giggle at me, but hey least they are laughing." He said smiling. "Hey we protective brothers take our jobs very seriously, I wouldn’t have gotten suspended so many times if I didn’t." His smile turned wide looking to the dogs once more then back to her. "We have a problem, it looks like we might have to do this more often, because they are loving it." Using the excuse that the dogs enjoyed each others company made him feel less weird about wanting to see her again. Her smile was perfect and it made him feel brave enough to speak what was on his mind. "I would also like the chance to make you smile like that more."
Anna laughed happily, her nose scrunching up as she did so. "At least you know you’re entertaining them though." she offered as a positive way to look at the situation. “Oh god, don’t I know it. My brother got detention so many times because of sticking up for me in school.” she nodded a bit, being able to relate. “we appreciate it, but you guys gotta learn to keep your cool at times.” she teased him once more before glancing over at the dogs when he did.
The idea of coming back to the park again with him, or just seeing him again in general made her heart flutter happily. She opened her mouth to ask him just how that was a problem but then he added in the comment about making her smile and she lost any control she had left over her face and it’s color. Looking down at her lap, her round cheeks turned bright pink and a shy smile spread across her face. Finally after regaining some composure, she looked up at him. "Even though its extremely embarrassing and I’m painfully shy, I’d like that too…" she agreed, her voice soft with shyness.
Jordan laughed along with the blonde that say next to him, he loved her laugh, and planned on saying anything ridiculous to keep on doing so. “Yeah that’s true, I’d rather keep the entertained over all anyway.” He said with a smile. Laughing when she spoke of her brother, it sounded like he and he loved it. Finishing his coffee he reached over to the trash tossing it out. “I like your brother already.” He teased. “Not possible sorry darlin’, we have two settings, protective and super protective there isn’t any fighting it.”
He sat there hoping she would approve of the idea, biting his lower lip when he saw her look down, his hand touched her arm lightly as Jordan shook his head. “I have no idea why you feel like it’s extremely embarrassing, because so far this has been one of my best days in Miami, who could ask for anything better? As far as the shy parts go, I am too, lets just be shy together then.” He smirked
It was moments like these when she wished she could hear. Reading his lips, she knew he had called her darlin’ and she couldn’t help but wish she could hear his voice when he said that word. She imagined that it sounded adorable, and so sweet. “I think he’d like you too. You’d bond over being protective of your sisters.” she smiled, a soft laugh leaving her mouth.
His hand on her arm sent a wave of warmth through her and she couldn’t help but smile at the feeling. Jordan was so sweet and she got this feeling of him being truly genuine. “I just got embarrassed when people compliment me… I always have.” she shrugged her petite shoulders before smiling at his suggestion to be shy together. Laughing, she nodded, “Alright, that could work for me.” Putting her hand up for a high-five she added in, “The Shy Team.” Giving their friendship a nickname.
Jordan smiled widely when she said that her brother would like him. “Well that means something because I know how hard it is to accept people as a protective brother. I think he could tell that I find you gorgeous so I feel that would probably harm the bonding process.” He laughed softly.
At first he wasn’t even sure his hand was on her, it was instinctual to do, he was glad she wasn’t uncomfortable with it. Jordan was as sincere as he had ever been with anyone, he wasn’t the type to lie or be dishonest. “Then I’m assuming you live more then ninety percent of your life being embarrassed because you are far to beautiful, talented, and amazing to not be complimented constantly.” When she agreed with his suggestion Jordan smiled. “Good because I wouldn’t let it be any other way.” He winked lifting his hand to hers giving her the highfive.
"Yeah that could be a problem for him. So just don’t tell him." she suggested with a laugh, shrugging her shoulders. The comment although she tried to fight it, still made her blush. Jordan was an extremely handsome guy and for him to think she was gorgeous, well it was a big compliment to her.
"Alright mister. Your compliments are not helping the blushing go away…" she laughed, gesturing to her pink face with a laugh. Taking a sip of her iced coffee once their high-five was done, she grinned at him. "You know you don’t seem too shy though Jordan… I mean you seem less shy than me at least." she commented.
"That secret will stay safe, I know better then to enrage the brother wrath." He said laughing. He enjoyed that about her, the entire time he was with her he hadn’t stopped laughing and smiling.
Looking down at his lap then back up to her he gave her that charming half smile he had down so well but didn’t even realize it. “Is that you telling me you want me to stop? Cause I will. It’ll be hard, but I’ll try for you.” He smiled. He shrugged lightly. “Well that could be because if we were both super shy we might be more awkward then this? Plus when I get excited I kind of ramble… Which has happened most of this time.”
"Good. I think sometimes guys don’t know that the brothers can be just as scary if not more so, than the dads." she smiled at him, running a and through her hair to get it out of her face. While she had enjoyed her time with Ryan, she just felt more comfortable with Jordan. She didn’t feel like he was trying to get her into bed, she felt as if he was truly trying to get to know her instead.
Awe that smile… it was perfect, and she had a feeling he didn’t even know it, which made it all that more amazing. “I like the compliments. Just don’t like being red as a tomato.” she giggled before nodding as he spoke. “Good point. One of us has to be brave enough to break the ice so we aren’t just sitting here in awkward silence. Thank you, for the one to do that because I know I wouldn’t be brave enough to.” she thanked him with a soft laugh. "I don’t think you’re rambling at all." Anna reassured the brunette honestly.
"Oh yeah, I know when I’m a father my protective brother will only transfer to over protective father. It’s going to be brutal and I already feel bad for my future daughter." He laughed watching their dogs coming back to them laying down they were tuckered out and that was obvious, it was cute, he smiled widely looking down at the three dogs.
His eyes met hers again and he smirked. “Oh you don’t? Because personally it’s one of my favorite shades on you thus far.” He gave her a teasing smile. “Well I wanted to get to know you, so I had to brave up and swallow the shy. Which so far I’m glad I did because I’m not a fan of awkward silence. But I don’t feel like silence would be awkward with you.” When she reassured him he felt better. “Well I’m glad to hear that.”
"She’ll appreciate it later on in life though." Anna reassured him, nodding her head a bit. When their dogs returned, the blonde reached down to give Lucy a loving pet. The three animals closed their eyes and rested beside one another, clearly exhausted from their playtime.
"If you don’t quit it, my face is gonna stay this color forever." she laughed, clearly joking. It was reassuring to know that he had wanted to get to know her. She had gotten that vibe from him, but she knew that not all men had pure interests at heart. It seemed that Jordan did however and it only made her relax even more around him."I don’t mind silence. Lived in it my whole life." Anna reminded him playfully, pointing to her ear with a wide grin at her own joke.
Smiling as he spoke. “I sure hope you’re right about that, my children will have a appreciation for people, and vegan food or at least that’s what I’m planning on.” There was no hiding it Jordan wanted a family of his own one day and he wasn’t afraid to admit to it like most.
He bit his lower lip softly laughing. “I’m sorry! I can’t help it.” He laugh continued like it had the whole time. Realizing what he said didn’t make him think he said anything wrong, she made a joke about it so he wasn’t bothered by his words He just smiled along with her joke. “I like that about you. You can still be sarcastic, and to be honest there is very few things more attractive on a woman then sarcasm” he smiled. “I dont mind it either though. But that’s also coming from the guy that prefers watching silent black and white movies.”
"Vegan huh?" she asked, surprised and curious about that. "How long have you been a vegan for?"Anna herself couldn’t give up meat; even if giving it up meant world peace. She loved a good burger too much, and steak was one of her favorite things to eat.
"I just gotta try and get you back." she teased, but doubted she’d be good at trying to make him blush. Anna was never good at flirting, or at least she didn’t think so; so she doubted she’d be able to make him blush. "oh thank you, I appreciate that." Anna thanked him when he complimented that he liked her sarcasm. ”There are sometimes though when people’s sarcasm isn’t picked up on.”the deaf girl explained to him, “I gotta be able to see their facial expressions and know their personality as well as sense of humor in order to be able to tell sarcasm.” She gave a quick insight into what it was like to be deaf and trying to pick up people’s inflections and meanings to their words without being able to hear their voices. “Silent films huh?” that took her by surprise, and the raise of her eyebrows showed that. "All films are silent to me, so I don’t really see the hype." she teased him playfully, giving him a wink to show that she was.
"I’m not fully, just mostly. But I feel starting them early will make them non cheating vegans like myself." He laughed. "A few years, another reason is because I find cooking the vegan food is so much more fun then regular." He did find himself cheating on the vegan diet occasionally once a week he would go out to lunch and indulge. "I heard it’s better for them in the long run and I think thats a big part of the reasoning."
"I doubt that’ll be very hard, I turn red easier then you." She had already brought the red to his face before this but he was trying to make it through without embarrassing himself too much. "Well for future reference, I’m one of the most sarcastic people you will ever meet." Taking in the insight it was good to know. He laughed. "Well I’ve been subjected to some of the worse movies ever that I wished for a short time being it was silent or I just couldn’t hear it." He gave her a wink back. "I think I prefer them because you have to actually watch and read their emotions, which in my opinion can make you learn more about someone then their actual words."
She laughed at his comment about being non-cheating Vegans. She could imagine it would be hard, heck she wouldn’t be able to do it. "So what do you like to cook then that is a vegan dish?" she asked curiously, never have had Vegan food before she wasn’t sure what to expect.
"Alright, good to know." she laughed, glad that he had told her that. She had picked up on that as well as he good sense of humor, but it was good to have reassurance. His reasoning as to why he liked silent films made her smile because that was how deaf lived their lives. “Deaf people can often tell if someone is lying because we aren’t fooled by their voices. We watch their actions.” she explained,"but its nice, to meet someone who can hear but realizes that facial expressions can show much more. Not everyone gets that."
Her question brought an immediate answer he didn’t even need to think about it. “The flavors, they are bold, all unique and stand alone perfectly, but all combine for a great flavor. You can throw almost anything in a dish if you know the flavors go together. I’ll bring you a vegan lunch to your office some day.” He offered.
Jordan smiled. “Well it’s a good thing I don’t believe in lying, and if you could tell that I’m lying you’d know the truth to that.” He winked. “As weird as this is going to sound admitting, I prefer watching people then interacting with them. I definitely get that an expression can mean more then words, because words can lie, expressions can’t, unless the person is a professional liar or something.”
"oh you don’t have to do that." she shook her head, not wanting him to go out of his way just for her."Maybe instead you can come over sometime and we’ll cook it together. So you don’t have to do all the work." she suggested. It was meant as a friendly invitation but the moment it came out, she blushed; realizing it was her own way of admitting to wanting to see him once more.
His wink made her blush just a bit, but that wasn’t anything new. Everything about him seemed to do that. "That would make sense though, with your job that’s what you get paid to do - watch people." she nodded a bit, "which I think is fascinating to watch back once you get it all taped."Anna finished her drink off and tossed it into the trash can that sat beside their bench before she turned back to look at him and agreed with his statement about expressions not being able to lie, nodding to show her agreement.
Jordan was slightly disappointed when she shook her head, but the smile came back when she countered with an even better offer in his eyes. “That sounds better, I’m horrible with the dishes.” He smirked, noting that she did want to hang out again which made him even happier, enough that it was obvious to her that he was into the idea.
Nodding as she spoke. “That’s why I kinda love my job.” He let out a small laugh. ”It’s one of my favorite parts really. What about you? Favorite part of your job?” He asked curiously, noting her drink being tossed in the trash, he didn’t want to keep her by rambling on but he also was enjoying every second with Anna so he wasn’t going to say anything just yet.
"That’s perfect because I happen to be amazing with dishes." she joked back, laughing. “It helps that I have a dishwasher and all.” Anna added in, a teasing smile still on her face.
Questions about her job always seemed to have a long explanation to it, and she hoped that Jordan didn’t mind hearing it. "Writing has always been my way of communicating with the hearing world. Not everyone can sign and when reading lips fails me because its not a hundred percent accurate thing, or when people can’t understand my accent; I write. As a kid, it was a great coping mechanism for me. No one could write me off or ignore my feelings when I put them down on paper. It’s easy to ignore the girl who is signing what she feels because you just look away. But writing them down, making them permanent, no one can ignore that." she had rambled and upon realizing that, she blushed just subtly - hoping he didn’t mind. Writing was a topic that was very near and dear to her heart, so whenever someone asked about it, she knew she’d have a lot to say about it - she just hoped they didn’t mind hearing it.
Jordan looked over to Anna smiling widely. “Well that just sounds like a perfect match” he said with a teasing voice. “Wait you have a dishwasher? I’m so moving in with You.” Jordan continued to tease the blonde. “I have these for a dishwasher.” He raised his hands playfully.
Listening to the woman go on about her job he enjoyed listening, she was a real, and genuine person and he liked that about her. Seeing her blush after she finished speaking his hand lifted to her arm, it was in comforting manner again. He loved what she had to say. “I think that pretty much means that we have the best jobs ever.” That charming smirk shined through. “In all seriousness if reading lips ever fails for you with us, I can sign.”he offered that bit of information. Being a brother of his sisters, always drug him new places, New hospitals to learn new things growing up that had been one of them. Noticing his hand still resting against her skin he didn’t move it away this time, his thumb subconsciously grazed over her soft skin, it wasn’t that he was trying to show affection towards her It just sort of happened, his body doingbl what felt right. “So if you could write anywhere, any place where would it be?” Jordan asked curiously hoping he wasnt asking too much, he just found himself wondering more the more he learned.
Anna’s laughed escaped her mouth once more and she grinned, “Well at least we know my apartment allows dogs. We can just lie and say I need three service dogs. Get ‘em in for free.” she offered, the smile never leaving her face as she continued to joke around with the young man.
"Most definitely." Anna nodded in agreement, she loved her job; absolutely adored it. She did have a dream to someday write a book, one about being deaf - in hopes of helping young deaf kids, especially girls, know that there is a future for them and that being deaf is not the end of the world. He gave her that adorable half smile that made her heart flutter happily just as his thumb found her arm, grazing it gently. A warm feeling washed over her then and she felt this desire to lean in close; to be closer to the young male, but she ignored it. Not telling him to remove his hand, she let him touch her; she enjoyed it and it was harmless enough. "you know how to sign?" she asked him, surprised by this.
His next question made her think a bit. She hadn’t been asked that before, but it was a good question.“A beach house in Oregon. Just sit there in front of the open wind, feeling the breeze come in off of the high tide and smell the salty air while I type… helped to free my mind and just let my imagination go.” she answered finally after thinking it over.
"Hey they do work, I take them to home my sisters live in! They just aren’t officially service dogs. Nor do I think they could be, they are far to hyper." He knew his sisters loved the hyped up ways of the dogs, but it wasn’t for everyone that was there and that sometimes made him sad because he always saw the smile on everyones faces when the saw the dog.
