So this tip goes out to those who, like me, prefer to sit around and relax to hitting the gym – which is TOTALLY fine. So here are some EASY EXERCiSES, (in addition to the usual dancing, swimming, jogging, etc, that are designed to be FUN while you burn calories) which require no crazy energy inputs, but have spectacular results!(:
O1. TiPPY TOES. (:
- whenever you’re just standing around with nothing really to do, just stand up on your tippy toes, and then come back down. Waiting on a long line? Go up on your toes, and then back down. Just do this over && over again, several times a day when you’re just standing around. It’ll tone your calves and it’s VERY simple.(:
O2. ISOMETRiC CURLS. (:
- this one’s really easy. When you’re just sitting and not really doing anything, simply put your right hand (palm-side up) on your left forearm (which, when you have your palm up, should be from your wrist to the crook of your elbow). Push onto your forearm with your hand, while simultaneously pulling upwards towards your right hand with your forearm. Basically, the opposite pushing && pulling of your hand and forearm will cause there to be no motion, but will exercise your entire arm, <33
O3. CHEST EXERCiSES. (:
- sorry, I wasn’t sure what to call this, haha. But basically what you do is grab a small weight that weighs about 2-3 lbs, (or it could be two identical objects weighing 2-3 lbs). Holding the small weight in your right hand, bring it back upwards, so that your right elbow is parallel to your right shoulder. Hold that position for about 2O-3O seconds, and then switch to your left side. Do this exercise several times – this should exercise the muscles below your breasts, which make them perkier and can even make them appear larger. (:
O4. WALL SQUATS. (:
- these are pretty awful, but they’re really not so bad if you’ve got something to do while you’re sitting against the wall. What you’re gonna do is lean against the wall, with your back leaning straight on it. Then, lower yourself into a sitting position, making sure that your knees are BEHiND your toes, and that your back is STRAiGHT against the wall. Do this for about 3O seconds with rests in between, but make sure you’re feeling the burn – no pain, no gain(;. If you’ve got something to keep your mind off of the wall sits, though, such as a book/magazine, or even while you’re brushing your teeth, your legs and behind will be toned in no time. (:
O5. EASY AB EXERCiSES. (:
- ditch those tiring situps for this simple and effective workout. While you’re watching television or reading a book, sit up and just tighten your abs. Don’t forget to breathe!(: So do this for about thirty seconds apiece, several times with breaks in between. (I’m doing this right now as I’m writing this tip, hah!). By doing this, you’ll tone your abs (and your tummy!), and get better posture, <33
O6.ANOTHER EASY AB EXERCiSE. (:
- this one’s pretty easy. Stand up straight, and rest your hands in front of you on a flat, sturdy surface. Make sure your core is involved while doing this – but what you’re gonna do is swivel your hips 9O degrees in either direction. Hold it a bit, and repeat in the other direction. Do this several times to improve your flexibility, as well as tone your abs and waist!
O7. STAiR RUNS. (:
- in between commercials during your show, while you’re all excited and energetic from the cliff hanger they left you at before the commercial started, simply run up and down your stairs. Do this exercise pretty vigorously, and when the show comes back on, kick back, RELAX, && enjoy your show. (:
O8. STAR PASS. (:
- when alone in your room with nothing to do, try a star pass! Hold your arms above your head, and then bring your body to the left, so that your right leg lifts off the ground. (Your body should generally be in the shape of a star, hence the name of the workout). Remember to keep your abs tight while you do this, to exercise them as well. Hold the position for a bit, and then repeat with your opposite side. Do this workout several times, and your results should tone your abs && legs. (:
O9. EXTRA WEiGHT. (:
- this is a bit crazy, but really simple. When you’re at your locker in school, or packing your purse at home, throw in an extra book or two, so that you’ll be carrying some extra weight on your shoulders. This way, you’ll be burning more calories as you carry your bag around. Just don’t bring too much extra weight, as you don’t want to overexert yourself. Also, it’s so much more preferable if you carry your bag on both shoulders, to distribute the way, but if not, switch the shoulder you carry your bag on often. (:
