What you'll need:
O1. 1 or two boxes of WHITE cake mix( one box makes about 20-24, and two makes about 40-48)**BUT IF YOU MAKE TWO BOXES** remember make the two boxes in different bowls**
O2. what ever it says you need on the white cake mix box(typicaly its oil, and eggs and water. only use CANOLA OR VEGETABLE OIL, NOT PEANUT OIL!!)
O3. food coloring dyes.(normally the boxes have a red, blue, yellow, and green)
O4. 6 bowls, and 6 cups.
O5. cupcake fillers(20-24, or 40-48)
O6. cupcake tin
okay, every food coloring is different, so just to be safe this is what i do. fill the six cups with water, and test the food coloring in the cups. example: the first cup can be your red cup, see how many drops you want to put in teh water, depending on how dark you want the red color to be. then do the rest in the other cups, with the orange, yellow, green, blue, and the purple.
Normally, the RED dye, will be about one or two drops of RED. the ORANGE will be one drop of RED, and one of YELLOW, or more, if you want it darker. the YELLOW, will be one or two drops of YELLOW. the GREEN, will consist of one or two drops of GREEN(you can put a little bit of blue in if you want it to be a blueish green) for the BLUE you want one or two drops of BLUE. for the PURPLE, you want two drop or RED,and two drop of BLUE(you can add more if needed)
pre-heat the oven to the directions on the box, under cupcakes.
mix the powder batter, with the water, then the eggs, then the oil. beat them witha mixer, until there is no more bubbles, and everything looks even.
then scoop the batter evenly, into the six bowls. get a spoon, or a ice cream scoop, or anything like that, and scoop a scoop into each bowl until all the batter is in the six bowls.
put theone or two drops of red into one bowl of batter.
put one drop of red, and one drop of yellow into the second bowl of batter.
put one or two drops of yellow in the third bowl of batter.
put one or two drops of green in the fourth bowl of batter.
put one or two drops of blue in the fifth bowl
and finally, one or two drops of red, and one or two drops of blue in the sixth bowl.
place the cupcake fillers into the cupcake tin, and LAYER the colors,(red orange, yellow, green, blue purple) for a rainbow cupcake.
for a tie dye cupcake:
layer only two or three colors, and drag a knife, or a toothpick through teh batter after you have layered it to simualte the tie dye. **good color combo's are: red+yellow, green+blue, Yellow+green, Yellow+ orange, blue+purple, Purple+red, Purple+yellow, etc.**
put the cupcakes in the oven, and set the timer, for what the box says. bake, ice them, and enjoy!
hope you liked it! :)
