Friday: It's finally the weekend! And reluctantly, all of our parents are coming up to Easton to visit us. Seeing how it's visiting weekend, you'll have to be extra sure to keep all your scandolous secrets hidden. It's going to be tough, after all we're dealing with the generation that raised us...
I was so scared of this day. I loved my parents, but they didn't belong here. Just like me. They wouldn't understand anything, wouldn't know what to talk about and such things. Ro and Mari had given some clothes to me so at least I'd be stylish. I loved the girls for this. They pretended to changes clothes with me, but what would they want with my things when they owned stuff like that? Yes, nothing. But it was nice that they didn't show it to me.
I met my parents in front of the school. It was so amazing to see them again. I couldn't skype and call them daily like other girls.
"Mum!", I screamed and hugged her. "Thank you so much for coming!" It was a big gift for me that they afforded the journey.
"Oceane", my Mum said and kissed me. Then she took my hands and looked at me. "You're thinner."
My Dad nodded. "Right love, but you still look great", he smiled.
They wanted to see my room so I guided them to it. We met Joan and her parents in there.
"This is my room", Joan meant and made a gestured which included my half, too. Her parents nodded.
"Bit too small", he father mumbled while he looked at his iPhone.
"And my roommate, Oceane. I told you about her, do you remember?"
"Ah, the poor girl with the scholarship", he mother answered and greeted us. I hoped my parents didn't notice her look.
There was a buffet in the hall and we wanted to join it. My parents eyed the interior curiously. "Aw, this is beautiful", my Mum said and pointed towards some pictures. I left them alone to get something to eat. I met Carson and Clio.
"Hey, so these are your parents?", Clio asked. I nodded.
"One can see that you're.. different", Carson meant and took some salad.
I watched my parents. They wore their best dresses, but their clothes weren't as good as the other's. I sighed. We'd never fit in here.
"Hey, are you okay?", Vera asked and placed her hand on my shoulder. I shrugged.
"You're worried about your parents?", she continued.
"A bit", I responded, but then I was distracted. Jeremy walked towards us.
"Aw, you're friend", Vera grinned and turned away.
"He's not... I mean he's ga...", I stuttered, but Vera way already away and Jeremy stood next to me.
"Hi", he simply said.
"Where's your family?", I wanted to know.
"They don't have time. As usual", he answered and tried to look like he didn't care. He didn't manage to.
"Mum, Dad", I said when we sat down at a table, "this is Jeremy, a friend of mine."
My Mum raised her eyebrows and scanned him. Then she smiled. "Nice to meet some friends of Oceane."
My Dad shook hands with Jeremy.
"Pleasure to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Voss", Jeremy said politely.
Maybe the day wouldn't be that bad...
(I know, this is a boooring story, sorry!)
