The shelving system by Elmar Flötotto is different! The common established shelving systems are based on two different construction principles: Most of the shelving systems have continuous laterals with supporting boards between them. These systems aren't really flexible and existing solutions are hardly changeable. The second variant is based on a knots concept. Between special knots-elements there are boards inserted. Despite of existing flexibility, these systems are connected to a high grade of planning and assembly effort. However, Freddy is based on the new idea of a net structure. With only two board formats that are assembled horizontally and vertically, endless individual furniture pieces are realizable in only an instant. Moreover already existing solutions can be expanded or changed as desired, and more important: with a minimum of effort.
