This corset has smooth curves that will gracefully emphasize your own. It has a traditional Victorian silhouette: ) ( so waist reduction is spread evenly. It compress all around your waist, with just a little bit more taken at the sides. It will gently "push" in your waist in to give you a little bit of a concave shape even at the front panels. The bottom style line is a clean and ends in a point. It comes up somewhat high on the hips and and has a low back. It has a pretty good amount of room at the ribs. In this sample the outer layer is made from black duchess satin sample with cream satin exterior casings. Your outer fabric and boning channels can be made duchess satin in a wide range of colours or silk dupioni in a wide range or colours. Other fabrics are available at an additional cost. Satin is backed with cotton interfacing and coutil and the corset is lined in soft cotton twill. It has 16 3/8" (~10mm) spiral bones and 4 1/4" spring steel. Bones are placed every 1" or so. Depending on your measurements your corset may have more or less boning. Custom corsets are fully steel boned and feature a front Busk protector and back lacing protector included in the price. Interior boning channels, waist tape, hand made bias binding, carefully arranged two part eyelets, and strong multilayer construction make them particularly strong and well suited to tight-lacing. This corset includes a mock up to insure that the right fit is achieved. A cotton version of the corset will be mailed to you so that you can try it on and together we can perfect the fit of the final piece. When you place your order we will discuss the colours and fabric type that you would like for your unique garment. After this you will need to send me your measurements (or set up a meeting with me so that I can take them for you) using a measurement form that I will provide. I will draft a unique pattern based on your measurements. With it I will make a mock-up version of your garment in a plain cotton fabric. The mock up be mailed to you so that you can try it on or alternatively, it will be fitted at a personal fitting. Through the mock up and the use of photos, together we can perfect the fit of the final piece. To aid you in the to fitting process I've created a mock-up fitting guide.
