  • Danese Milano Simboli Cube Poster
    shophorne.com
The Series of Synsemantic Symbols is based on an approach that can bring some artistic images into people’s homes. Art becomes more accessible to everyone thanks to silkscreen printing, which replaces the concept of a single original version. The arrow, the star, the wave, the moon, the cube and the clover are archetypal symbols, “symbols that can be interpreted in many different ways depending on the observer’s perception and they are also timeless memories to cherish”. The elementary graphic image reveals the iconographic meaning, transforming it into a symbol. In 2013 Danese reissues the graphic Series of Synsemantic Symbols, drawing in 1972, as a tribute to a great master of Italian design who has been one of Danese’s major designers since the company was founded.
  • Crate & Barrel Piper Waiting Print
    crateandbarrel.com
Heather LaHaise's ode to her dog bridges abstraction and realism with a subtle sense of whimsy. The animal's form is revealed through layers of color, random marks and textured application of paint, silhouetted against an undefined, minimalist background. Our giclée reproduction on paper captures the brilliance and nuance of the original acrylic painting, framed in matte black wood. Check out our designer tips to make a statement with your wall decor.

"From Budapest, Éva Kemény and László Sós were a wonderfully and creative that produced a vast array of political and commercial designs from the 1950s through the 80s. Sort of like the East Bloc Eames, the couple known as So-Ky provided a colorful array of modern prints for national campaigns, regional festivals, cinema, education, tourism, etc. Their style provided a warm, humanistic contrast to the official socialist realism that had dominated the immediate post-war years. So-Ky also produced corporate identities, including the 1967 refresh of the Socialist ‘trade organization’ (for lack of a better comparison) Comecon. ‘Soc-Modern’, as their style is referred to now, owed more to western pop-art than to Leninist creed. And while the excellently crafted graphics may have suggested a rather placid mid-century cheer, the underlying messaging seldom veered from official doctrine, where the revolution was predominant (and the US an evil adversary). Times have changed, and their work, neutered of any cold war menace, now seems quite innocuous— and fits quite perfectly over a modern sofa or credenza." • Cyanotype Print - Girl From De La Tour
    chairish.com
The seller says: Original Cyanotype Print, Girl from De La Tour Painting on Watercolor Paper, A4 size Original cyanotype print, handmade and printed in the Barcelona sun! This is an image that comes from "The Fortune Teller", a painting by Georges De La Tour. It is an original cyanotype print, made on heavy and very resistant watercolor paper, in A4 (about 8in x 10in) size. This gorgeous print can be combined with the other detail from our shop from the same painting, making a great couple! Plus, as always in our shop, FREE SHIPPING!!! The cyanotype process is one of the oldest in the history of photography, and during this digital revolution that we are experiencing, we feel the need to look back at a craft that is handmade, analogue, and using an all-natural light source: the sun! To give you some background info, our cyanotypes are made by coating high-quality watercolor paper with a light-sensitive chemical, to then be exposed in direct sunlight for several minutes using a photo negative to get the best image quality. The print is then washed and fixed, to stop the chemical reaction and prevent fading. What you get is an amazing, Prussian blue image, with absolutely no ink involved! ***Please note the frame in the photo is for illustrative purposes only and is not included****

  • Crate & Barrel Dash of Grey Print
    crateandbarrel.com
Punning on the word "dash," Heather LaHaise incorporates broad brushstrokes of grey in her depiction of a rabbit poised to dash out of sight. Painting with uneven swipes of color, textural marks and a carefully rendered rabbit, she conveys the animal's quick and curious ways in a composition that bridges abstraction and realism. The artist's original acrylic on linen painting is captured in all its subtlety in a giclée reproduction on paper, framed in matte white wood.
  • Original Hungarian Swinging 60's Furniture Poster

About The Poster: Some of our favourite posters are those for which we can find no specific information, but which make us smile because of their simple graphics, clear message and undeniable appeal. Like this one: a clean minimalist design, great typography, mid-century modern aesthetic - a fairly winning combination, no? The writing on the poster reads: Modern furnishings, articles of agricultural cooperatives, expertise in business. About The Artists: "From Budapest, Éva Kemény and László Sós were a wonderfully and creative that produced a vast array of political and commercial designs from the 1950s through the 80s.
