English Classics Furniture Mahogany Chippendale Coffee Table with Drawers
One of the most beautiful features of this mahogany Chippendale coffee table with drawers are the glorious selections of flamed mahogany that compose the top surface. The grain flows in wisps from the corners and grow lighter as they reach their adjacent destinations creating the illusion of fire. The top is bordered by a thick band of another choice wood called satinwood. This lies in stark contrast to the mesmerizing patina of the flame mahogany creating a wonderful combination. This table is lined with drawers on both of the longer sides for your storage needs (one side has working drawers the other side faux drawers). They reflect the same image as the top featuring the flame mahogany with the band of satinwood around the edges and are outlined with a beaded moulding. The three drawers on the front are easily opened and closed sliding on solid wood rails. The three on the back are faux (fake) and do not open but add an extra layer of aesthetic composition to this already marvelous piece. The elegant swan neck pulls that occupy the center of each drawer are made from solid brass. The extremely sturdy legs are fashioned in the traditional Chippendale style being straight-fluted and adorned with a bracket decoration on the inner corners. This piece would look grand sitting in front of a lovely sofa in your favorite sitting area. This table is new and in excellent condition. It was just recently made in England by a master craftsman. He uses Old World, hand techniques and applies a seven stage, hand rubbed finish to give this new piece of furniture as much of an antique and authentic look as possible.
  • English Classics Furniture Oak Oval Coffee Table with Yew Banding

English Classics Furniture Oak Oval Coffee Table with Yew Banding
This country style oval coffee table was recently hand-crafted in England as a Georgian period reproduction. Every aspect of its construction, from the materials used to the techniques employed to refine them, speaks of the absolute highest quality. Such a lovely coffee table would make a fine addition to any living room or office. The classic shape of this oval coffee table is quite elegant, providing extra depth in the center and more space on the tapered ends. Attractive French legs provide sturdy support, enhancing the simple yet refined country style of the piece. Little has changed in this fundamental design over the past few centuries, as it is both useful and beautiful. Measuring 70″ wide and 40″ deep, it provides a great deal of surface area that not only provides a convenient table top for setting various items–a tea or coffee set, for example–but it also displays the wood very beautifully. The oak and yew banding have been richly finished in an elaborate, seven-stage process. Before even the stain was applied to the wood, it was first distressed using iron and stone to impart characteristic “wear” marks onto the oak and yew, making this table fit in easily with antique furniture. After a quality coat of hand-brushed lacquer, several coats of wax were applied for a rich polish that fleshes out the natural beauty of the wood. Furniture paste wax can even be reapplied twice a year to maintain the table’s finish. The resulting contrast between the oak and the yew is quite striking, setting this piece apart as a truly fine oval coffee table.

English Classics Furniture English Mahogany Demi Lune Table
Perfect for any hallway or entry way, this demi lune table is a gorgeous English reproduction. It was hand crafted by a third generation furniture maker in England and is of the utmost quality. By using Old World methods, the furniture maker is able to create wonderful pieces like this demi lune table. He has used the finest flame mahogany veneers and hand finished them with an elaborate process of hand rubbing a seven stage finish. The top is bordered not with inlays as you would expect, but by staining the mahogany on the edge a very light stain. This lighter mahogany creates a wonderful border accentuating the demi lune shape nicely. The apron is bordered with a thin satinwood inlay. Also adorning the top is a half Georgian period style satinwood fan inlay. This fan inlay along with the contrasting mahogany and satinwood gives the table a very Empire look. This demi lune table sits on mahogany square tapered legs. There are four legs making sure the demi lune table is very sturdy and does not wobble. It is strong enough to support a heavy lamp or other decoration. It would also look good with a large painting above it.
