7/14 Tuesday --
I'm watching Friendly Fires play near the outskirts of the crowd. I had ditched my band in an effort to calm myself down before I hit the stage and because I wanted to watch Friendly Fires play. I take a puff of my cigarette when I hear someone yell my name.
"Violet Rowley! What on earth do you think your doing?"
I turn around only to see Blake, my bandmate, and his angry face. He looks about 10 even when he's yelling at me.
"Am I not allowed to watch other bands play?" I spit back at him.
"Vi, I spent the last half hour looking for you. I thought you had either completely left us or you had been taken or something. You just disappeared out of nowhere, I was so worried." He wraps his arms around me.
I chuckled to myself thinking I just might make a habit out of disappearing just to freak Blake out.
"Oh Blake, I'm a big girl I'm fine. Plus we're playing LFR's 2nd slot."
Blake looks down at me probably thinking how I really am not big at all. "Uhhh I don't know what your on but we're actually playing 1st." He looks down at his watch. "Bloody Hell we've got 5 minutes."
He swoops me up in his arms and decides to just carry me to the stage knowing it'll take me forever to walk over there in my heels. I bury my face in his neck as photographers take notice of us and start flashing their cameras. I don't care to have my picture taken.
By the time we get on stage we're a few minutes late.
"Sorry for the hold up, our singer went missing right before we were on to play." Blake says into the mic then looks at me. He's always trying to embarrass me.
"Haha I wasn't missing I had run away because I didn't want to be seen with Blake here." The crowd laughs with me, clearly on my side. Suddenly I wasn't so scared, singing outside was different but that same energy rushed into me. With that same cigarette in hand I had complete control of the stage.
"Violet! brilliant!" Cherry and Emma greet me as I exit the stage. Cherry was up and I gave her my luck.
"Go kick some ass up there" I said as she walks onto the stage. I welcome Emma into the LFR family and ask her how she likes it so far. We were talking with drinks in hand when I was rudely interrupted.
"Violet! Over here"
"Violet were you really missing?"
"Explain you and Blake, you guys looked extremely close today"
The questions were never ending. I apologized to Emma and went off to answer a few short questions.
"So whats with you and Blake?" a reporter asks.
"Nothing, we're just friends" I had no idea where these were coming from.
"Did you really go missing?"
"I went to go watch Friend Fires play, I thought we were playing second slot" I half heartedly answer as I glance over at Cherry on the stage.
"Sorry guys, I'm gonna go watch Cherry play" I walk away from them and their cameras and their questions.
