First, that fez-and-vest combo is much too third-century. These patches. What are we trying to say? Beggar? No. Let's work with me here.

Vol. 6 In the Disney Collections

*Unsatisfied with the immense amount of Disney princess inspired collections, I finally have decided to embark on my own. All will be Disney based, and after the first 11 official princesses I plan on doing more characters. Inspiration was drawn from the style of the film, and the personality of the character, rather than the exact looks of her outfits or even exact color.

Princess Jasmine has always been my favorite princess. Only with the recent addition of Rapunzel [I just saw Tangled this year] has she had any real competition [Belle and Esmerelda came close in my youth, but not that close.]. Although, I think I liked Jasmine the best because I liked *Aladdin* the best. I was so convinced at age 5 that we were getting married that it was used as a bribe to get me to eat my carrots. When the third movie came out on VHS I cried because I didn't like actually realize he would marry Jasmine. What is that even?

Anyway, I have a lot of Disney related pet peeves. Not, Disney itself but the things people do to Disney [those obnoxious hipster meme for example. They're not that funny, and they're petty much desecrating my religion. But most memes aren't.]. But my biggest frustration is how people reinterpret Jasmine. A lot of the wardrobing I've seen is just like lazily in the ball park of her turquoise color pallete [so like, here's a body con turquoise dress from Wet Seal and some gold earrings!]. Or, here's some belly dancer costume, the end. Urgh. Since I think I am an author-eh-teh on the subject matter of this film [I have seen it roughly 98676 times. Yes. To prove it, I will recite the movie by heart:

Black screen. A little smokey flame rises up out of nowhere and some music is going 'doo doop doop doo' quietly as the opening for Arabian Nights brakes into a flamey title sequence that says, 'Aladdin' in it's fancy pants font...]

Back to my point.

Inspired by the magnificent jewel tones and vaguely middle eastern influences, back with some urban etsy gypsy flair [just a tad], I threw the 90s out of the ball park completely for this and just had at it. My Jasmine, even in street rat form, is still pretty glamorous. Look at her giant earrings.

I dunno. I think it speaks for itself.

But. I have to say. I've seen people say see resembles Kim Kardashian. Wtf. No she doesn't. Princess fucking Jasmine is fucking classy and beautiful and regal and KK is a horsey faced bimbo. THE END.

Love this <3 Aladdin was *coughcoughSTILLIScoughcough* one of my all time favourite Disney characters. But I think Dreamworks have always been giving Disney a run for their money, with amazing films like Road to El Dorado and the animated Sinbad with Catherine Zeta Jones and Michelle Pfeiffer. Still, no one seems to remember Miguel and Tulio, or Eris and Marina, who in my opinion were far more exiting than the Disney lot. Urgh, long comment! Sorry! But I do really like your collection. :)
