Not sure if an explanation like this was required but I felt the need to justify myself and my odd choice.

Explanation: Style is all about expressing yourself so to me a little black dress is a sort of a blank canvas. To me there’s absolutely no point in wearing one if you’re just going to pair it with neutral accessories. I always wear my LBD with colourful heels, I wear everything with colourful heels, but LBD give you the opportunity to showcase the shoes as the focal point of an outfit.
Generally I pick a pair with multiple colours and busy details like these gorgeous Sophia Webster sandals. My colour palette for the night is set but the shoes (tonight is pink, yellow and orange) from there I choose my accessories to compliment them and at least one stand out piece of jewellery is always included. Tonight I went with a DVF clutch and a standout necklace, bracelet and ring. Finally because it is winter in New York right now a gorgeous Alice + Olivia coat to keep warm.
Basically a little black dress is my favourite way to play with and showcase accessories and shoes.
