  • George Nelson Bubble Pendant - Apple
    shophorne.com
First designed in 1947, the George Nelson Bubble Lamp Collection has stood the test of time. The simple structural shapes with the innovative use of taut plastic over fine steel wire were born from George Nelson's frustration to buy a Swedish-made silk lamp which produced a soft light. This unique use of shape and material produces a diffused light that is free of glare while offering an abundance of illumination. These pieces are part of the permanent collection in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and remain icons in modern lighting. Modernica discovered these designs and reintroduced the series in 1989 with a dedication to reproducing these stunning, classic lights with authenticity and craftsmanship. Modernica still uses the same materials and methods to hand craft each piece in their Michigan facility. The classic Saucer Pendant is available in 4 sizes, with 6 feet of cord (extra large comes with 9 feet) and a 5.25 inch brushed nickel ceiling plate.

  • Original BTC Titan 3 Pendant - Black

We love the classic industrial look of the Titan Pendant. Designer Peter Bowles used an actual mold from the 1940's that produced these lamps for offices and factories at the time, but then he updated it for a more modern setting. We think it's an ideal choice for a kitchen, dining room, or workspace, since it is mostly downward lighting. But, if brightness isn't your thing. The lamp is UL listed and suitable for commercial spaces. This lamp is the larger version of the Titan 1. Manufactured in a factory in the UK dedicated to green manufacturing practices. 150W (max) incandescent or compact fluorescent bulb. 5' black braided cable and aluminum ceiling rosette.
