Inspired by the lush, foliage-dense landscape of her Los Angeles home, artist Alexandra Carter brushes a luxuriant bouquet of leaves and grasses in verdant greens and extravagant washes. Although appearing as a traditional watercolor, her work is the result of an unusual technique by which Carter applies pools of ink to waterproof yupo paper, allowing the pigment to traverse across the non-porous surface in unpredictable ways. Our limited-edition giclée reproduction of the original painting is printed on paper and hand signed by the artist. Presented in a single white mat, the print is framed in pine with a matte white finish. Artist: Alexandra Carter. Giclée print on paper, hand signed by the artist. Pine frame with matte white finish. Glass. Numbered print of 475 editions. Hang with D rings provided; do not hang with wire. Dust with dry cloth. Made in USA.

    artfulhome.com
Original Watercolor painting on watercolor board. .Peachy Orange sunset and sand in this abstract landscape leaves much for the eye to enjoy. Softness and texture brings interest to this painting. This painting is spray varnished and can be framed without glass. The artist suggests a white linen liner and a wood frame. The artist has developed her unique painting style by using techniques she has discovered through many years of painting. The artist begins a painting by preparing a mixture of fresh colors on a palette. As the paint is applied to the surface the artist sprays and pours water, allowing it to mix and mingle. The intensity of paint application, water movement, and even the weather can highly influence the direction and final outcome of the painting. The result is a unique landscape with the beauty of color and the interest of texture.

  • Maureen Kerstein Undersea Green Watercolor Painting
    artfulhome.com
The sea, the waves breaking on the shore and the movement of the water as it ebbs on a sandy beach: this is what the artist tries to capture as she paints. In order to accomplish this she allows the painting to take on a life of it's own by turning the color loose to mingle and flow freely over the surface of the paper. The results are "landscapes of the sea." This painting is framed under non-glare glass with a linen liner and a beautiful dark wood frame. It is ready to hang with a wire across the back. The painting has beautiful color and draws the viewer in to look at the details and textures. Framed size is 34''H x 32''W and image size is 27''H x 25''W.
  • Joan Gold Fruit in Blue Giclee Print
    artfulhome.com
This is an original print. It is not a reproduction, as it exists only in digital format. Gold scans her original collage paintings and then uses computer technology to further develop them. Epson archival pigment inks and Epson acid free papers are used to give them maximum color intensity and durability. Signed and numbered below the image. Limited edition of 100. Paper size is 22''H x 17''W. Dimensions refer to image size. Recently rediscovered, the artist's "History" series began 32 years ago. They are small paintings, done on watercolor paper with intensely colored inks. The inks had a beautiful glow to them. The little paintings have resided in a portfolio to keep them from fading. Now scanned into a digital format, Gold has been able to modify and enhance the original paintings to create these pigment prints.
