Lamps are like people, they are happy when they aren’t alone. The Form Pendant lamp by the designers group Form Us With Love is a range of glass lamps that are stronger in a group than alone. The base of the Form Pendant consists of three mouth blown glass forms that seem to come directly out of the timeless world of the bulbs with all their industrial colours and globes. The mouth blown forms distort the image of the classic bulb on a decent way and the milky glass ensures an accordingly soft light. Individual combinations to interesting light installations of the refined pendant lamps are not only possible, but very suggested by Form Us With Love.

  • Gregg Suspension Light By Foscarini
    2modern.com
A product of natural inspiration and extensive research, Gregg’s shape is reminiscent of a large pebble, its surface polished by the water. It could even be seen as the egg of some mythological beast, a symbol of creation and re-birth. Pure volume with a familiar ease of interpretation, yet one that is surprising, because Gregg’s asymmetric shape changes depending on the point of view of the person observing it. This is a new solution where a traditional material like glass becomes a tool in the designer’s hands to give an original character to an environment. There are three different sizes in the hanging, table, ceiling and wall versions and four different solutions for the floor lamp: the Gregg collection is one of the most versatile and transversal and can be easily placed in any type of setting. In the home environment, the warm, uniform light produced by the white satined diffuser and its essential style has a strong functional and decorative value. Thanks to the closed shape of the diffuser, the bulb is screened in all directions, which protects from dazzle and makes it easy to place even at different heights. When part of a composition, Gregg is suitable for some of the most surprising uses. A ‘raindrop’ structure highlights the vertical extension of a window or stairway, producing an extremely striking effect. Vertical arrangement of a multitude of suspensions at various heights generates spectacular luminous false ceilings. The repetition of the volume along a line produces new perspectives to create trompe l’oeil effect. Suspension lamp with diffused light. Features. Gregg Collection. Designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, 2007. Made in Italy. Materials: White satin finish hand-blown diffuser achieved using glass blowing procedure without turning the glass in the mold (referred to as "stationary"), subject to immersion in acid. The glass in the medium and large version is incorporated with a matt transparent injection molded polycarbonate ring nut, which is in white polycarbonate in the small version. Matt transparent injection molded polycarbonate lamp holder support. Stainless steel suspension cable and a transparent electrical cable. Canopy with galvanized metal bracket and matt white batch-dyed ABS cover. Color: White. Available in 3 sizes: Small, Medium and Large. Optional offset mounting kits are available, for use when the junction box is not ideally located; Pendants can be suspended at an offset position from junction box. Specifications. • George Nelson Bubble Pendant - Cigar
    shophorne.com
First designed in 1947, the George Nelson Bubble Lamp Collection has stood the test of time. The simple structural shapes with the innovative use of taut plastic over fine steel wire were born from George Nelson's frustration to buy a Swedish-made silk lamp which produced a soft light. This unique use of shape and material produces a diffused light that is free of glare while offering an abundance of illumination. These pieces are part of the permanent collection in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and remain icons in modern lighting. Modernica discovered these designs and reintroduced the series in 1989 with a dedication to reproducing these stunning, classic lights with authenticity and craftsmanship. Modernica still uses the same materials and methods to hand craft each piece in their Michigan facility. The classic Saucer Pendant is available in 4 sizes, with 6 feet of cord (extra large comes with 9 feet) and a 5.25 inch brushed nickel ceiling plate.

  • George Nelson Bubble Pendant - Saucer
    shophorne.com
