    shophorne.com
Swell is a minimalistic furniture collection with a playful, light-hearted feel designed by the Swedish designer Jonas Wagell. Modular sofas and armchairs are now available, open up for even more possibilities and combinations in interior design. The Scandinavian simplicity of the design is accentuated by a stringent design without unnecessary details. In spite of this, Swell oozes with character and personality and its soft, curved shapes make it both inviting and provide a fantastic sitting comfort. The name Swell is a reference to rising bread with its full shape, consisting of a robust padded back and seat and two curvy armrests. The stitching on the back and the seats divides the sofas into sections and completes the feel. Jonas Wagell says: ”I've always been fascinated by minimalism, but I like to add a warm and personal touch to the products. I have taken the aesthetic and practical qualities that I prefer in furniture for the living room as a reference point, and in this way, Swell very much reflects my own personal taste and style”. Swell is available in a wide range of colors. The range makes it easy to find a sofa suitable for any decor by encompassing everything from neutral grey and brownish tones to deep and tranquil shades of blue and purple as well as energetic and bright yellow, green and red and a classic black. • Stephen Kenn Inheritance Armchair - Black Canvas & Blackened Steel
    shophorne.com
Los Angeles based designer Stephen Kenn has long been inspired by clean and simple design aesthetics and the stories inherent in vintage military fabrics. In 2011 he combined those two loves by creating The Inheritance Collection. The collection was the result of an exploration of how furniture is constructed, and then a desire to distill the process down to the barest bones. Likening the process of furniture construction to the way the human body is constructed, the frame, belts, and cushions became the bones, muscles, and skin of each piece. Black canvas cushion covers, black cotton webbing and leather belts interwoven atop a blackened steel frame. Made in Los Angeles, the collection is inspired by the characteristic principles of Soviet Modernism and bold interpretations of Brutalist Architecture through the simplification of form, receptive angular geometries and functional design.

  • Fritz Hansen - Serie 7 Stuhl monochromatic
    connox.com
Series 7 – monochromatic from head to toes The Series 7, which was designed by Arne Jacobsen 1955, is the admiral of the Fritz Hansen collection. The chair still convinces with its withdrawing appearance and the functional versatility. Fritz Hansen presents the classic chair with new colours by the artist Tal R with suitable bases in 2015 in the event of the 60 th birthday of the designer. Lacquered or painted The seat of pressed veneer of the Series 7 is available in two variants as monochromatic edition. One of them with a varnished seat out of ash wood and another one lacquered. The difference: The painted edition keeps the typical and individual wooden grain of the seat visible, which emphasizes the natural appearance and silhouette of the Series 7. The lacquered models are special with their silky and uniform seat. The wooden grain is covered with an opaque colour-layer in this case. Both editions – the painted and the lacquered monochromatic models – are available in the classic non-colours black and white as well as in two tones of the range of colours of the artist Tal R: Chavalier Irange, an Orient influenced orange tone which is the most exclusive of the new colours according to Tal R, and in Trieste Blue, a mix of violet and blue. Lacquered from head to toes The monochromatic model convinces with its unitary tranquilizing appearance. The classic four legged base appears in the same colour as the seat. The two elements of the chair become a harmonic unity this way. The Series 7 by Arne Jacobsen deserves to belong to the classic chairs of furniture history, since the different modules, colours and bases offer many individual configurations, adapted to everyone. The chair is available in further colours and with different bases and cushions in here on demand. Also in our blog: The Fritz Hansen Series 7 Chair: Monochrome design

The internationally famous, Spanish designer Jaime Hayon designed the armchair of the future together with Fritz Hansen. An armchair, which offers relaxation and a little time-out for you, away from the stressful day by day. Time to think is luxury nowadays. We all have a lot of work and hardly time to stop and think a little while. The Ro armchair from Fritz Hansen comes from the desire of furniture which will make us stop running for a moment. Ro is more than an armchair. It has 1½ seats, to relax in them, to find a comfortable position in it, to read newspapers or to configure the computer or spend time with the children - a new comfort zone. The design of the seat is simple, elegant and pleasant for the eyes and the body. In its visual expression and the comfortable functionality, Ro guarantees quietness and relaxation. Moreover the clever shape of the seat makes it possible for you to decide whether to be part of what’s happening in the room you’re in or to enter your own small comfort zone. The design premises of Fritz Hansen for the designer Jaime Hayon said that he should create “a comfortable seat for single persons”. ”We focussed on the shape of the armchair, which is inspired by the human body. Our aim was to create an armchair which would be as comfortable as beautiful. I wanted to create a slim, elegant armchair to think and sit comfortably”, explained Jaime Hayon. “Ro” means quietness on Danish. This name was chosen because it describes the character of the armchair with only two characters and which perfectly expresses the Scandinavian concept for aesthetics that way. The Ro armchair is made by Fritz Hansen according to the highest quality and processing standards. The result of this unique interplay of sculptural and elegant design is a functional and aesthetically appealing armchair, which attracts glimpses in every environment. One can only fall in love with it, since Ro doesn’t compromise in comfort or aestheticism. The relax armchair is available in nine colours: In three traditional colours (black, grey and taupe), in three shiny colours (violet, blue and yellow) and in three soft colours (light pink, sage green and sand). The armchair has different surface structures for the seat and the upholstery for a more dynamic appearance, emphasizing the contrast between the hard outside and the warm, softer inside.
