The Egg is one of the triumphs of Jacobsen's total design - a sculptural contrast to the building's almost exclusively vertical and horizontal surfaces. The Egg sprang from a new technique, which Jacobsen was the first to use : a strong foam inner shell underneath the upholstery. Like a sculptor, Jacobsen strove to find the shell's perfect shape in clay at home in his own garage. Because of the unique shape, the Egg guarantees a bit of privacy in otherwise public spaces and the Egg - with or without footstool - is ideal for lounge and waiting areas as well as the home. • fatboy original - beanbag Stonewashed
    connox.com
To sit and lay or simply relax – the original beanbags by fatboy are versatile. For all of the people finding the standard coating to rough or glossy, the Netherlands manufacturer presented the Stonewashed variant. The Stonewashed coating was developed by fatboy in order to follow the trends of softer furniture. The Stonewashed fabric is robust and cleanable too, but softer, similar to jeans or a shirt. And it is washable just like them at 30°C. Made a 100% out of cotton, the Stonewashed fabric ensures a vintage-appearance. The Stonewashed editions act classier than the standard editions even with the same form and size. All the other qualities remain naturally unchanged: The fatboy suits in nearly every coloured ambience of living and sleeping rooms. The usage of the beanbag is versatile – use it as lounge bag or armchair in the students flat, as relaxation possibility in the office, as “motivating” cushion for children or even as spare bed for unexpected guests. It is easily and flexibly adapted in its form by the EPS-cylinders.
