Collab with Sassy, so amazing. <3
Saturday; Tiffany’s Jewelers is one of GGS’s biggest ad sponsors! They’re throwing a party downtown and showing off their summer collection. Have a few grand to throw away? ;) Formal wear required.
Kerris loved these events, rent a lovely dress, get all dolled up and party the night away while pretending to be one of them. It was a sad fact that she didn't have any of the thousands she knew would be spent that night on jewelry some of the people would wear once or twice, if that, before being tossed in the back of a jewelry box. So went the spoiled people she was in circles with.
This blonde would covet the necklaces and earring that sparkled, seeing the new designs and making wish lists. Not that she wasn't paid well but having two apartments didn't leave her much spending money. The reason for her place in LA was a lease she couldn't get out of, unfortunately being dumped was not a reason to break and leave. So she was stuck paying for the apartment until January, hence her new apartment being a small loft. She sighed softly, standing by a display case with a glass of champagne in hand that she lifted to her lips for a drink, her blues drifting to the necklace.
"So.. Which ones of those are you going to be sporting next week?"
She turned her head to see Gerard standing beside her, so into her thoughts she was oblivious as usual. She really should stop daydreaming so much, it wouldn't get her anywhere. "Mmm..None of them. Just window shopping and taking advantage of the free champagne." She lifted her glass slightly to show him.
"It's a shame. You'd look lovely in one of those necklaces." His gaze drifted to the case she was looking at as he stood close to her.
"And nothing else?" She suggested with a mischievous glint in her eyes, teasing him though, feeling a bit bolder tonight.
"How did you read my mind?" He gave her a grin..
She parted her lips, not quite expecting his readily agreement , then she spoke out, "If you had read my resume you'd know it's in my skills."
He grinned even wider, "Really interesting...so you can tell me what's in my mind now."
"You want to take me to the bar so that we can have more champagne", she said in a soft tone.
"You're forgetting the part when I try to get you drunk to take advantange of you", He glanced at her, wrapping his arm around her waist as he led her toward the bar.
"I can tell only the present, not the future." She laughed lightly, causing some guys to turn to her and stare at her perfect smile. Well, not just her smile...
"I'm still not sure if I can believe you." Gerard stopped in front of the counter, nodding to the bartender to get them two glasses of champagne.
"Do you want to test me?" She asked biting her lip.
He tilted his head to the side, flashing her a grin, "It depends on what you mean..."
"My mind reading powers.." She laughed softly, her eyes twinkling, "Other testing might happen after the champagne.."
"I see.." He smiled, lifting his glass to his lips for a drink, "Alright.. Tell me what I'm thinking right now."
"Hmm.." She stared into his eyes, trying not to get lost in his bright blues, "You want to f*ck me.."
"I already said that." He shook his head.
"You do... But you want to know if I've been with Damon.." She leaned in to whisper by his ear, it didn't take a mind reader to know that. Most men did not want their friends' sloppy seconds even if the pretty blonde was far from easy.
"Have you?" He murmured, drawing back so he could meet her gaze again.
She was quiet a moment then she shook her head, telling him honestly, "No.. I haven't." They didn't have s.ex but she kissed him, totally different even if she might have let him f*ck her there on the desk if his mother hadn't walked in.
"Not that I care." he said honestly, shrugging his shoulders as he took the last sip of champagne before setting the empty glass back on the counter.
"But you asked." She pointed out, raising one eyebrow at him, deciding if she believed him or not.
"I'm just curious." he said simply, running a hand through his hair.
She cocked her head to a side, nodding slowly, "Curiosity doesn't belong to men." She grinned.
"Are you trying to make fun of me, gorgeous?" he asked, leaning into her and staring into her eyes.
"I'm just stating a fact", she said batting her long lashes.
"That was such a clichè", he shook his head, laughing lightly.
She shrugged, taking a sip from her glass and licking her upper lip, "It's true most of the times."
"Just because everyone says it?" he questioned, glacing at her lips.
"There must be a reason if everyone says something." She said, trying to prove her point.
He raised one eyebow, "Does it count for rumors as well?" he asked seriously.
"You can't believe all the rumors you hear though.." She added quietly, motioning to the bartender to fill her glass.
"But some?" He asked, obviously going somewhere with that.
Her cheeks flush, slowly swirling the champagne about in her glass, "Are true.." Her voice a bit soft, "I did sleep with Reed.. But you have to understand.. I thought he loved me." Her blue eyes lift from her drink, she wasn't the power hungry sl.ut or home-wrecker that the gossip rags tried to portray her as.
"It's okay...I mean, I'm not interested in what is your past." He shrugged, blinking at her.
She bit her lip, nodding, "I didn't want you to have the wrong impression of me just because of all the gossip."
"I never take attention to those kind of things", he said honestly, "but I might be interested in why you want to make an impression on me."
"I don't." She glared at me, her cheeks turning into a nice shade of pink. What a jerk
"Are you talking about how much you were in love with your boss just because?" he grinned, taking another sip from his glass.
She narrowed her gaze on him, pursing her lips together, "So it's true what people say..."
"That I'm an a.sshole?" he cut her off, "Yes, 100% positive."
She rolled her eyes, taking a drink of her champagne. "I might need another couple glasses of this."
"How kind of you." He smirked.
"I speak ass*hole very well when I'm smashed thank you very much." She bit her lip, her accent more apparent when she became angry. "I'll try to get down to your level of not caring." She nodded, her glass mostly gone now.
"Don't do that just for my sake." He answered, watching her with an arched brow.
"You're impossible. I think this my cue to leave." She grumbled, picking up her clutch off the bar and went to stand before almost tumbling to the floor with the quick effort.
He grabbed her, "I might be impossible but you're drunk."
She bumped against him and snorted, "I can take care of myself."
He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her body against his, "I don't doubt it, but I never let a drunk girl alone."
She rested her hands against his chest, raising one eyebrow, "Right, you take advantage of them."
He smirked, her delicious perfume filling his nostrils, "I'll be good."
"Says the guy who just claimed to be an a.sshole", she shook her head, pulling away from him.
"I can be both. Not at the same time obviously." he shrugged.
"I'm so lucky I tested both." She glared at him.
He smirked, brushing her cheek with his thumb, "We had a good start, it'd be bad wasting it..."
"Hmm.." Her inhibitions lowered with the pleasant buzz she felt coursing through her slender frame, not so easy to think of consequences as she looked into his frosty blue eyes. "Ok."
Gerard chuckled, "Okay? That's all I get?"
A smirk quirked her lips, "Would you prefer that I asked you to f.uck me senseless?" Her sweet voice saying those dirty words made it all the better. She stepped closer, lightly touching the lapels of his jacket as she looked up at him.
"No, I'd rather read between the lines", he smirked placing his hands on her hips and pulling her into him again.
"For some reason I don't believe you." She batted her lashes at him, running her hands up his chest.
He parted his lips to say something but then he just shook his head, "You're playing with fire Kerris."
"I'm fireproof." She winked at him locking her hands behind his neck, her mouth just a few inches from his.
Gerard grinned and glanced at her smiling lips, leaning into her to kiss her...then he stopped.
"What?" She asked looking at him puzzled as he pulled away.
"I don't think it's a good idea...we're at a party and I don't think none of us wants this kind of publicity." he said honestly.
"Oh...it makes sense." She nodded slowly, blushing.
"Do you need a ride back home?" he asked her, placing a hand on the small of her back.
She shook her head, "No, I'm okay. I'll call a cab."
"I guess I'll see you around." he said, leaning into her to whisper in her ear, "It's a shame though, you have gorgeous lips."
She glanced at him, biting them as she smirked, "I know" she said in a soft sexy tone before walking away.
