  • Casala - Casalino 2008/10 Armchair
    connox.com
Casalino is back! A shining star in the 70s and forgotten in the 80s, Casala wanted to re-edit the dynamic chair named “Casalino” in 2007. But where were the moulds? The company with its roots in the lower Saxony Lauenau found the answers in Antalya after long research. Casala bought the moulds back in order to vitalize the forgotten classic, which received the “good industrial form” award on the Hanover fair in 1971. Casalino 2007 isn’t a remake, but the original created by the designer Alexander Bagger. “It was a delighting work, so that I forgot everything around me”, explained Bagger about the ling ago production process of his chairs. And Casalino still breathes that happiness out of plastic-pop and the will of change of the 70s, even decades later. The model 2008 was presented by the Casala company one year after the new launch of the Casalino 2007. The upholstered edition Casalino 2008 ensures more sitting comfort and it naturally also offers all the advantages of the Casalino 2007 – and this is how the upholstered armchair is also resistant against shocks and scratches (since it is dyed thorough) and free of edges.

  • Herman Miller Aeron Chair
    julesseltzerstore.com
The Aeron Chair: For a limited time, we pay the tax and shipping! The Aeron chair didn't end up in the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection just because it looks cool. Although it does. Its looks are only the beginning. Aeron accommodates both the sitter and the environment. It adapts naturally to virtually every body, and it's 94% recyclable. Even if it's black, it's green. Some designs defy imitation, and the Aeron chair is one of them. Bill Stumpf, designer of the 1970s chair of the decade (Ergon) and Don Chadwick, designer of the 1980s chair of the decade (Equa) threw out all past notions of what an office chair should be and started from scratch. Concepts like why is it, for example, comfortable to lay in the sand or a hammock. Answer: Because they mold to the body shape each body of course being different. The chair was so different in its appearance that it almost did not get past Herman Millers own marketing department. Acclaim Newsweek Design of the Decade for the 90s Museum of Modern Art, New York Permanant Display.
  • Bubble Club Armchair By Kartell
    2modern.com
A veritable icon made by Kartell, the mass-tinted polypropylene Bubble Club Armchair was a pioneer of a new concept in furniture accessories: the industrial chair made entirely of plastic. Technology and research made it possible for Kartell to mass produce what was traditionally handmade. Bubble Club is a roomy armchair, characterized by the soft line of its armrests, in contrast with the more rational lines of the backrest. This is a minimalist silhouette, reminiscent of the lines of "granny's sofa." Along with the couch and the small table, produced with the same finish and colors, Bubble Club Armchair is now a complete family, nothing less than an "industrial living-room." Thanks to their exceptional weather resistance, all three members of the Bubble Club family can survive perfectly outdoors and are ideal for furnishing gardens, pool sides and patios. Features: Made of smooth batch-dyed polyethylene. Can be used indoors or outdoors. Suitable for residential or commercial use. Made in Italy.
