"Come on Bailey, let's go!" Cloe shouted standing in the middle of the hallway.
"Here I am," I shot going down the stairs, "let's take a move, I'm starving."
"Me too" She replied raising her eyebrows.
"So, two pepperoni pizzas, one with cheese and a Hawaiian pizza, is that it?" I asked as I made a mental list of the pizzas everyone agreed on ordering. We were less than 10 girls, but when you invited friends to come over—especially Liam and Scott—well let's just say they didn't last that long.
"Don't forget mushroom and ham." Cloe said.
"Right. That one too. So that makes it... five pizzas?" I recalled. "We also have to get something for desert because I'm sure everyone's tired of baking."
"Yes." She nodded, "We're not that good at baking."
"But I like baking." I whimpered.
"I don't, but I like eating" Cloe said with a smile.
"So five pizzas and a dessert", I nodded.
"Good, let's go." She shot taking out the keys of her car, "I'll drive". She added, smiling.
"Oh good, today I won't like do it." I replied with a sigh of relief.
We stepped into the car, fastened our seat belts and drove to the nearest pizza parlor in town. It was always fun to go there because they had a make-your-own pizza and I loved to see everyone's creations. The weirdest creation I had ever seen was one that involved chocolate with mozzarella and onions, but I shrug that thought off because it was gross.
"So, Cloe, how's Professor Barton?" I asked with a smirk.
"Doing fine, I guess." Cloe said, her cheeks turning red.
"You two would have the cutest ginger babies." I said with a sigh.
She laughed, "Bailey!"
"Sorry, I was just saying." I shrugged, "Besides, you two have blue eyes... your babies would look like a doll."
"I can't believe you're saying that." She shook her head giggling. "I don't think he would find it proper for a professor to date a student."
"There's nothing wrong in liking older guys." I smirked as we made a turn to the pizza parlor.
"I really don't know what are you talking about" She lied.
"Oh come on!", I replied with a smirk as I got out of the car, "you can't refuse to face up the facts"
"How philosophic" Cloe stated dryly, "Did you rehearse that in front of the mirror?" She laughed.
"Hey, hey" I replied stabbing at her, "don't do that, don't change the topic".
"I have a problem" She admitted trying to smile.
I smiled, "We all do." I confessed. "I told Colton... but I don't think he actually understood what I meant." I sighed. "I think he thought I said I loved him as a friend."
"That sucks." Cloe shook her head. "...But maybe he did? And he's just scared..."
"I don't know. But /you/ have more chances to go out on a date with Prof. Barton!" I squealed, the way Aria would if this were one of her shenanigans of hooking Ally with Scott. "You just need to spend some extra time in the classroom, like 'Oh hey Professor Barton, I didn't quite understand the new material'." I smirked, a whole scenario was created on my mind.
Cloe giggled, "Calm down your mind, even if Barton is a /big/ problem, the real one is Taylor" She said with a grimace.
"Your boyfriend?" I asked confused.
"Not exactly. My stuck-overprotective-mawkish boyfriend" She stated.
"You should try to straighten things out with Taylor." I suggested. "If it's not going so well, there's no point in going on with a failed relationship." I pondered, wondering how she'd react.
"It's not that easy." Cloe sighed as we moved with the line. It was our turn to order, and as usual, I forgot the entire order, so Cloe helped me out with it. After ordering the five pizzas (and desert) we sat in a table, waiting for our order to be dispatched. "...I understand why you were so hesitant about telling Colton." She said, probably thinking of the way Taylor would react or something.
I nodded. "It's not easy, but I had to do it. Or I'd end up wondering 'what if'." I thought her situation was worse than mine, because I was pretty sure Colton wasn't seeing anybody. But with Cloe, it was different. She didn't know much about Prof. Barton and on top of that, she had to deal with her boyfriend.
She nodded, "I'm sorry for it. I'm sure that you'll be able to find another possibility to talk with him".
"I have to" I stated, then I turned back looking at her "/We/ have to" I said giving her a little smile.
Cloe sighed, "I know I seem to the others like a bi.tch--"
"This isn't true" I stated firmly.
"Ehm, yes it is" She said raising her eyebrows beckoning at our pizzas and desert. We stood up and took them. She sighed, "I don't want to hurt Taylor".
"You won't, if you straighten things as soon as possible." I pondered. "Maybe you can end up as friends, you won't know until you give it a try." I said, giving her an encouraging smile. "I'll talk to Colt soon too."
"That sounds like a plan." Cloe smiled at me, giving a nod.
