This comment is pretty late, but I guess I will still comment :D Don't worry about all the stuff that happened in 2012, just make sure it doesn't happen again this year :D You don't seem shy to me at all and I love talking to you :D I love ice skating and I get that feeling too, I have had lessons so I know how to skate so I like to whizz around and all my friends just hang out by the railings, le sigh. This set is super fabulous, love the trench and Cara and a super late congrats on an amazing top set :DDD

Don't know how to... but in my mind, I'd probablymix glue with water to make it a bit liquidy and then paint the jar with the glue mixture and then roll it in sparkles while still wet. =) and then when dry, tie a cute pink bow around it.
Oh and wear oxford shoes - they are smart looking too and they are the so new ballet flat - they remind me of Spencer from Pretty Little Liars. =) xoxoxo

I think that I might not fail this now!! :))) and I think we have to dress up anyways so I think I'm going to wear an oxblood blazer :D and yes skating in the dark is so fun. Ahhh THIS IS TOO PRETTY STOP MAKING PERFECT SETS!!!! Gah. Oh my gosh I'm so happy you found Polyvore too <3 ah that sounds so fun Millennium Park is so cool I wish I could ice skate there! Haha I went to Chicago last spring and so it was too hot obviously! The Bean is awesome though and the Magnificent Mile!! Ahh! OKAY GAH PUBLIC SPEAKING well I spoke to over 1000 people at my high school last year and took a speech course last semester in college sooooo I might have some tips for you! I can PM you later with some stuff I've learned! :))

I love skating... and tobogganing - so much FUN! Especially in the dark... even better for some reason.
and don't be sad... just be happy instead... so much easier =)
Ah public speaking... the one thing I hate, but yet know way too much about... make sure you to look at everyone in the room... or at least make it look like you are. oscillate your head from left to right. Smile. =) and if you can use some hand gestures. Use your finger to make an emphasises on a point. hummm... wear something smart, like a blazer. and if you mess up or forget something, just continue with the next sentence... half the time people aren't listening and won't even noticed unless you make them notice...... ummmm.... what else.... there's more... but work with that. =) good luck. what speech?

Oh, and after the speech is done, you feel really horrible but after a few minutes you laugh at yourself. It's all just experience, my friend :D So don't worry too much! Just relax, keep calm, and have a coca cola ;D Everything will be fine :)

I am going to absolutely agree with every single thing you just said! YES, I need to stop hating on people in school because I hate on them way too much honestly xD ICE SKATING IS SO MUCH FUN :D:D Glad you had fun! I must visit Chicago once. They say the people there dress really know how to layer things up. I don't know where I heard that but I just know people there are fab :D HOLY WOLY, just a couple months ago, I was in the exact same position as YOU. I was also really nervous to pick a speech and crap. But when the day finally came, I did really bad because I didn't memorize as well as I thought I would. Just make sure you memorize it really well like even in the back of your mind and in your sleep you would memorize it because if you're extremely shy like me, you will really do terribly if you don't memorize it well. That's the number one tip I've got for you. MEMORIZE like crazy. Also, pick a speech you could actually relate to or a speech that you believe firmly in. Don't just memorize something you think you could do because it's really short. Pick something that really speaks to you. I know a lot of speeches are about independence and movements and blah blah but try to look beyond that and see what message really speaks to you :D If you don't even like the speech or if the speech is boring, chances are the memorization process will be hellluuuh slow. I suggest George Graham Vest's Tribute to the Dogs speech. If you like dogs, hey, why not ;D

haha what a journey it was to get this set published! oh well... glad that its up now because it's absolutely amazing! love it! i didnt really realize you were new to poly! haha but youre already a pro member--youre way better at keeping up with everyone than i am! ;) but aha i went through a phase last year where i hated too many people in my school as well so this school year i already had a resolution to be less antisocial haha ;) bc yeah im kind of shy too but this year im trying to be less so! but yeah BE HAPPY, ENJOY LIFE... all that good stuff! hope you have a fab 2013! and ah i havent gone ice skating in so long so that sounds so fun! good luck with your speech! just dont think about it too much! and practice, practice, practice! and just do everything your teacher says so you can get a good grade--use that to motivate you! haha idk thats what i do =)

First off...let me say this is a gorgeous set!! Love the outfit too!! I think a trench and boots up the chic factor for casual style:) I'm so sorry you were having internet and computer problems. I have lost too many sets so now I save it all the time. Love your resolutions. I hope you have a fabulous 2013 and achieve each one! As far as the public speaking thing... Know your speech. Pick something you feel passionate to speak about. Try to make eye contact with people in the room or if that bothers you look just past them....Don't let other thoughts but your speech into your brain. If you get nervous take a deep breath and then continue. I used to be shy about public speaking until college. It is so powerful and liberating when you do well. Just concentrate on your speech.... nothing else. Good luck sweetie!!♥

Start 2013 off with an empty jar and fill it with good things that happen. On New Years eve, empty it and see what awesome stuff happened that year.
I am SO doing this. It seems like such a cute idea. Only it would be sad if I had like only 3 things in the jar.
HI guys. It is now 2013. I really wanted to publish a set last night. Only I couldn't. The internet stopped working while I was in the middle of making this. And then when it finally started working again it was like 11:45 so I had to hurry to make it. And then when I was just about to publish it, the computer decided to shut down. SO then I just gave up.
But I am so glad 2012 is over....so many bad things has happened that year. People in my school just suddenly became overwhelmingly obnoxious...well except for my friends. And then a bunch of other stuff that made me sad happened. So yeah. But one good, actually I might even say best thing that happened this year was finding Polyvore. I am SO glad to have met all you on here. It has restored my faith in the human race:) Sort of. Really though, you guys are amazing and I can't say how much I appreciate Polyvore and all you guys :D I have had a wonderful six months here on Polyvore and I look forward to another year with you guys!!
But anyways. Have you made any New Year's Resolutions yet? I have. I'm probably not going to follow through on all of these but oh well!!
1. Be less sensitive....I am overly sensitive.
2. Stop hating people in my school so much
3. Start talking to people more...and not be afraid of them. I'm a really shy person and when people talk to me I usually don't say much back.
4. BE HAPPY.
5. OH and TRY to like back a persons set if they like mine.
ahhh my New Year's Resolutions are so weird. But anyways. Yesterday I went to Chicago with two of my friends to go ice skating at Millennium Park. It was super fun. Except that I kinda sucked at it at first. But then after a while my ice skating lessons from when I was six kicked in and I started skating. YAY. But then my lips turned kinda purple and blue from the cold and my ankle started hurting really bad and my fingers were numb. And it was all fun and all but my one of my friends decided that she didn't really want to skate. So she just hung on to the railing and glided along. And me and my other friend didn't want to leave her but we really wanted to go faster too. So I didn't know what to do. But overall, the experience was really cool and magical. The lights were really pretty when it got dark too!! And the city was beautiful! :D
AHHHHH. noo. I am supposed to find a speech over break that I am supposed to memorize and then give to the class in a couple weeks. EEK. I SUCK at public speaking. Oh and it has to be two minutes! SO if you have any tips on public speaking, I would love them. Or else I'm going to fail this assignment or something.
Well. I think I'll try to make another set later. I really wanted to make a New Year's themed set but I am just so uninspired right now and I don't know what to do. I am still a bit behind on some sets. So I'm going to go comment on your guy's gorgeous sets now!! Hope 2013 will be better!! For all of you!!
