  • English Classics Furniture Oak Drop Leaf Dining Table
Designed in a classic loper style, this fine drop leaf dining table was only recently bench-made by a third-generation cabinetmaker in England. Using the finest materials and expert techniques, he refined this table into a marvelous piece that will last for many years to come as a flexible and beautiful addition to any period furniture collection. The classic drop leaf design of this beautiful dining table makes it quite a versatile piece. With both leaves down, the depth measures 23.5″. With both leaves up, the table measures a full 72″ long x 60″ wide, perfect for regular dining or for special occasions. When the table is not in use, it can be placed against a wall like a sideboard. This functionality allows drop leaf dining tables like this one to adapt to many uses, hence the enduring popularity of the design after several centuries of use in traditional English furniture settings. The principle wood used in this lovely table is a rich selection of oak. Yew banding forms a beautiful, accentual border around the oval top, which contrasts beautifully with the oak. During construction, the wood was treated to an elaborate finishing process, beginning with hand-distressing and ending with a polish of fine, hand-rubbed wax. This last step helps to protect and enrich the natural beauty of the wood; wax can even be re-applied twice a year to maintain the polish. Finally the French legs, every bit as sturdy as they are elegant, are quite attractive in themselves and complement the oval table top. Few drop leaf dining tables can compare in quality to this astounding piece. The leaves continue to lift and drop very smoothly and rest on thick, solid wood supports that run beneath the table. The legs are very strong and their French design even strengthens the joins for durable support. The wood is also a prize selection, although one small part of the yew banding has been filled in owing to a small imperfection in the original wood. Overall the table is extremely well-made and will last for many decades to come as any truly heirloom quality piece should.
  • Hay - Copenhague CPH20 Bistro Table
The Danish manufacturer Hay invited the design brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroulled in order to create a collection for the re-designed University of Copenhaguen (KUA). The result was the Copenhague-Series, which consists of a chair, a bar stool and diverse tables. Hay and the Bouroullecs tried to design furniture for an educational institution, which would belong to our time with their shape and identity and which would fulfil the demands of a University. That’s the reason why the Copenhague Round Table – which is available as dining table and as side table – is very functional, but without getting far too serious in its expression. Since the designers wanted to free the Copenhague Round Table CPH20 from institutional flairs of traditional furniture and they wanted to design objects with bigger originality and a more homely appeal. Hay produces the Copenhague Round Table out of oak wood. Further editions are available on demand.
  • Skagerak Drachmann Dining Table
Only few things will remain unchanged for centuries and outlive generation by generation. But the light along the most northern coast of Denmark is still the same light that in the 1800-hundreds inspired artists like Drachmann, Kroyer and Ancher to create some of the greatest works in Danish history. This very special light of the North Sea and the atmosphere of Drachmann's time have inspired the design of the furniture that is named after the artist. The Drachmann range with the characteristic cross in the back and the simple, honest construction acts as today's icon for modern design based on the tradition and aesthetics of the past.
  • English Classics Furniture English Oak Pedestal Dining Table
This gorgeous oak pedestal dining table was recently hand-crafted by a third-generation cabinetmaker in England. The wood has been treated to an elaborate finishing process, ending in a fine coat of hand-rubbed wax. The result is a rich pair of woods–oak with yew banding–that contrast beautifully with one another. The table itself rests on a traditional birdcage pedestal base, which rests on fluted legs with brass feet on casters. The two end leaves attach to one another with sturdy metal rails and, once they slide onto the base, secure to it with the addition of blocks that screw into their undersides to prevent the leaves from sliding off of the table. The two additional leaves simply rest on top of the table supports and secure to each other and to the end leaves with sturdy brass latches; each leaf ads 18″ in width to the table, expanding the width from 60″ to 96″. Because this pedestal dining table table is brand new, it is incredibly sturdy, remains in excellent condition, and would make a fine addition to any home.

  • Hay - Wrong for Hay Trion Table
Trion is a versatile table by Wrong for Hay. It is suitable for many purposes, but the special detail of it is that the trestles have three legs each one. Shane Schneck thought about reducing the construction of the frame of the table when he designed Trion for Wrong for Hay. The three-legs trestle at one of both ends of the table resulted out of this process. The special table frame out of powder coated steel has a special position under the Trion Table, which is why it is different to the table top regarding the colour. The weightless composite table top doesn’t distract from the specialty of the trestles with its minimalistic design. The surface of the Trion Table top is coated with soft linoleum, which makes the table suitable as dining table and working desk equally. The Wrong for Hay Trion Table is also available with a size of 250 cm. The top of the table is also available in two brighter grey tones and the trestles are available in attractive green or yellow variants.

  • Commonhouse Furniture Canted Dining Table
Canted Table by Commonhouse Furniture. The slight angular shape of the table top circles guests in a more intimate setting while maintaining the classic format of a rectangular dining table. Coordinate the Canted table with Quartet Chairs ! Materials: Solid wood species walnut, cherry, maple, ebonized oak, or white oak. Natural low sheen lacquer, water resistant finish. Dimensions: 68W x 36D x 29.5H" The word common, as used by my grandmother, has an entirely different meaning from what is found in the dictionary. She uses the word to describe a person whose character is the perfect balance of simplicity, familiarity, and goodness. I set out to translate the idea of 'common” into modern furniture. What I arrived at is an elegant collection of pieces that represent those three ideals through form, construction, and material. Simple is purposeful forms that let the materials, structure, and joinery serve as the decorative elements. Familiar is utilizing the materials and construction methods of traditional furniture in an updated aesthetic. Good is never having to buy the same thing twice.

  • English Classics Furniture Oak Rustic Dining Table
This charming oak rustic dining table was recently hand-crafted in England as a Georgian style reproduction. Every material was carefully selected by the third-generation cabinetmaker and then refined using expert and time-honored processes to produce a truly heirloom-quality dining table. The wood used to craft this fine English dining table is a fine selection of solid oak, thick with a pronounced grain and a rich complexion. The wood has been treated to an elaborate finishing process that ended in a fine coat of hand-rubbed wax, which both enriches and protects the natural beauty of the wood. The wax can even be applied twice a year to maintain the integrity of the outer coating. The result is an oak rustic dining table whose lustrous appearance will continue to deepen and grow more lovely over the years as a patina settles into the wood. This country style farm table follows design principles that are simple yet elegant. The beautiful and expansive top is a 84″ long, 40″ wide rectangle resting on shapely French cabriole legs. The sinuous, organic curvature of the legs contrasts wonderfully with the rectangular top, creating the appearance of a rustic style refined by taste and a long tradition of fine English cabinetmaking. It is little wonder that oak rustic dining tables like this one have been crafted like this for centuries. This is a truly heirloom quality piece that will stand the test of time; as such, it is not only a fine prospect for any period furniture collection, but a wise investment!
