Every now and then, it's fine to indulge in something more fatty or sugary, but eating healthy should be a routine part of your diet. Here are a few healthier ideas for the foods we eat on a regular basis:

◊ICE CREAM

Since we all know ice cream can be packed with extra sugar, calories and fat, try instead eating light ice cream with reduced sugar and fat, frozen yogurt, or even a yogurt parfait with granola and/or fruit.

◊WHITE POTATOES

Although they're fairly healthy, white potatoes are extremely starchy, and after they're consumed, the starches end up being turned into sugar, resulting in more fatigue throughout the day. The next time you have an opportunity, try a sweet potato or sweet potato fries with your meal; I actually prefer them because they're much sweeter (obviously) and more flavorful than white potatoes! 

◊WHITE BREADS

White breads (and anything else with enriched flour as an ingredient) also have a lot of starches and unwanted ingredients, so eating whole grains are a much better alternative, since they have the natural nutrients that will give you long-lasting energy throughout the day.

◊POPCORN

Instead of eating a bag of regular, buttery popcorn, try a small bowl of light popcorn along with a bit of seasoned salt, margarine, or your favorite spice to give it more of a pop.

for the icecream i noticed you mentioned "light icecream"... im pretty sure i heard somewhere that extra things are added to make that product less calories... which actually makes it worse for you... i would instead recomend a smaller pertion of icecream every now and then or just yohgurt...
