Sometimes I'll go on Polyvore to check out some other tip accounts, look at some of the gorgeous art collages some of you guys make, and often to find an idea for an outfit to wear the next day.
More often than not, I am disappointed.
Not because I find outfits are not my style, but that everyone's style seems to be the same. Some common combonations I see are band shirt and skin-tight jeans, a skater skirt and cami with a big sweater, shorts and a flowing top with some strappy sandals - ENOUGH, I say, ENOUGH.
For as long as I can, I am going to make sets decipting different styles and ways to wear things in an attempt to show you gorgeous people some different ways to wear things, new options you may have not known existed, and help some of you be less afraid. That's the only thing I can fathom why you would not dress differently than everyone else. That being said, your style is your style and if you don't want to stand out too much, by all means, don't. I do and I know at LEAST one other person out there likes to be different in appearance from the mobs of people you see on the street.
I have come up with a list of challenges for you. My challenge for you is to try to incorporate at least ONE of these things into your everyday wardrobe (if you haven't already). I always see tons of black jeans, dark jeans, jeans, jeans, jeans, flannels, no skirts anywhere, only band tees, etc. but none of anything else and that makes me sad. Without further ado, I present my current list of sets that will be in this series:
-Skirts and dresses (causally)
-Tops that aren't t-shirts
If you have anything else you would like to add to the list, leave it in the comments and I would be more than happy to fulfill your request. The first set in this series should be coming out soon, so get excited! (or don't, your choice)
