The Pots & Pans set Dressed as been designed by Marcel Wanders. Traditionally, the rules would require that decoration be applied in the most important and most visible areas of the object. Wanders, on the other hand, applies it to secluded areas, a little out of sight, sometimes even in areas that aren't normally visible at all, so much so that they could call it a sort of introverted decoration. In this way, even though he uses a language of signs that is very rich and complex, a bit flowery, a little baroque, Wanders manages to maintain a certain level of overall elegance and lightness.Feature: Features: Milk boiler. • Georg Jensen - Henning Koppel Pitcher
    connox.com
The duck is slim now: Henning Koppel designed a serving pitcher (with the number 1,044) in the year 1952 for the legendary Danish silver smithy Georg Jensen that reminded of a fat duck in its form. Consequently it became popular under the name “the pregnant duck” and was considered an absolute design classic. Koppel was obviously influenced by himself when he shaped the “Pitcher” in 1965 – also if it is slimmer now, what makes it appear even nobler than its idol. The design breathes pure pride. The Georg Jensen Company revives the chic, initially silver designed piece now in stainless steel, together with other works from the “master of form”. And the pitcher does spectacularly underline this series, which is why the Henning Koppel objects advanced to become the embodiment of Scandinavian post-war design as New Look famous style with their mirror-flat polished surfaces and their asymmetrical lines. Henning Koppel died in 1981 – although his works are still highly up-to-date today.
