Hermés 1990'S Blue Leather Birkin Bag

An absolutely incredible Hermés blue leather Birkin bag from the 90's. The bag has two handles and white stitching detail around the seams. The bag fastens with a flap that folds over the top of the bag. Two lengths of matching leather thread through two gold metal hooks on either side and fasten together with a twisting key in the centre. The bag also has a padlock and key for extra safety and has four gold metal studs on the base. Inside there is one main compartment with a slip pocket and zip-up pocket. This bag is in mint condition and has never been worn and comes with original authenticity papers. Width: 40cm Height: 32cm Depth: 20cm The Birkin bag has become as iconic as Jane Birkin herself. The bag was designed for her after Hermès chief executive Jean-Louis Dumas sat next to Birkin on a flight. She told him of the difficulty to find a leather weekend bag that she liked and in 1984, he created a black supple leather bag for her. This bag is truly a piece to treasure forever.
