Hey Newbies! Need helpful hints?

I might be the last person to know these things, but, just in case I am not I wanted to share some of the things I have learned. My daughter gave me the best tip...special effects! The info is in the collection.

Anyone who has more to add to it, let me know!

I am so glad you found these useful! I tried to write little notes to help on each item! I keep learning more and more from friends and my kids!

For example: if you enter 'PSD' in the search box you will find cool special effects. If you type 'fotki' and or fotki.yandex' you will find lots of awesome items. If you type 'tubes' you will find stuff. or 'tubes passages; you will find doorways or roads or 'tubes femme' you will find females......

This is awesome! Thank you so so much for putting all this work into it!! I have a tip that I learned from @sheryl-lee and that is to add a shadow behind or below things when you want it to stand out. This has been a game changer for me. I just joined the group so I assume I do a set and talk about this?

p.s. @ladypiraterose , see the green text below the blue text in the items / photos above? If you type or copy and paste that green text in the search area of all items, it will yield many items. (for example - http://fotki.yandex.ru , psd, onekingslane.com, etc.

Thank you for your kind comments @ladypiraterose . If there is any way I can be of help, let me know. I am still pretty new here, so I really do not know as much as I would like to know. I experiment a lot. Your sets are very beautiful! I should be asking you for tips!

Wow thanks, this is so helpful. I really wish that I had found something like this when I was starting out. It was a struggle for me to understand how people created such amazing looking things when all I could do was junk. Thank you for sharing this information, it is really enlightening to know it. I learned several new things from it. I wish that more people would do things like this to share their knowledge on here. Actually come to think of it, it would be really cool to have a group about sharing your tips on how to improve your sets. I wonder if there is one... I haven't seen any, but you never know. Just so you know, you have inspired me to create a collection like this.

I am so happy you found it useful @heartfinds ! I know what you mean about knowing it from the beginning. There are so many features out there I am not aware of. I figured I would share the ones I am aware of in case there is anyone out there who can benefit from the info. (It does require reading each little box in the collection though.) Thank you for your kind compliments. xo

@rosesareme I am a collector of items, for sure! I was trying to share little tips that either I knew or someone shared with me so a new person would not have to spend as long searching for things as I did! (so it is kind of a random collection of assorted things I was using as examples).

I think it would be marvelous if you made collections! It is so much nicer to find a collection someone put together than trying to search through thousands of items! I know I would enjoy any collection you might make!

Thank you rosesareme!

I am a continuous looker and finder. I try to never make sets that look alike though we all know we have some fave items we will never stop using. I could make at least 20 collections out of my items lol maybe I should to share the love lol @lovetodrinktea
