A great pair of 1970's light blue denim high waisted flared jeans. From the waist to the hips the jeans fasten with ten metal buttons engraved with steam trains. The front panel is reminiscent of the traditional sailor trousers worn in the navy in the 1940's. The jeans hug the hips and flare out into a wide bell-bottom. These jeans are in near mint condition. Suitable for UK sizes 8 - small 10 Waist: 70cm Hips: 86cm Inside leg: 89cm Stella McCartney used 1970's denim as inspiration for her Spring/Summer 2010 catwalk, with a-line jean skirts paired with a brown leather belt and sheer blouse tucked in. Denim pinafores were worn with wedges and loose hair to channel the hippy vibe. These jeans are so versatile and can be worn any season. For a Stella McCartney style look, tuck in a white shirt and add some leather wedges or wear a striped Breton t-shirt for an on-trend nautical reference.
