    shophorne.com
Tempered Glass Top Only The Artek 10-Unit System is composed of 10 identical L shaped units that are put together in a certain manner to create a piece of modern and decorative furniture. When a bit of change is desired, the 10 L shaped units can be rearranged to create a chair, table base, stool, bench and more. By simply adding more L shaped units the possibilities become endless. The 10-Unit System really lives up to the motto “One Chair is enough” because of all the variations that can be achieved with just one chair. The 10-unit system is made of an environmentally friendly wood-plastic composite – ProFi – which is manufactured by UPM from their surplus adhesive label stock. The 10-Unit System becomes a side or coffee table with the addition of a tempered glass top. This is for the glass top only.

The Pirkka Collection is made of solid wood with simple, clean lines which make for stylish functionality. The wood is joined together using no screws making it remarkably lightweight. The rustic table carries with it the aesthetic appeal of modern design even 50 years later. The table is available in a variety of lengths making it ideal for several different locations. The bench can be paired with the table or used as a stand lone piece. The wider than usual width makes it a comfortable seat. The side chair also pairs well with the table but can stand on its own and the stool completes the set and is available in 4 heights to make it even more versatile. Pursuing his two passions, he spent the last decade designing furniture and playing bass guitar for several indie rock bands. Unfortunately, being on the road gave him little time to showcase his furniture, leaving him with a house full of products no one had seen. To showcase his growing body of work, he founded Atelier Takagi in 2005. His Tier Table (2015) draws from the architectural language of modernist 1960s high-rises. Featuring legs that have been relocated from the corners to the sides, this is a modern table that’s firmly planted on the ground, with tiered shelves for extra storage. Made in Taiwan.

British industrial designer Terence Woodgate is a Royal Designer for Industry (RDI), the highest honor awarded to designers in the U.K. He’s known for his obsessive attention to detail, which is beautifully illustrated in his Unison Table (2011). Visually simple, this two-tier table is actually quite complex in its design. In place of fasteners and external hardware, Unison uses a lower shelf as the structural component to hold the legs firmly in position. Its glass tabletop rests on neoprene pads, and Woodgate had to be sure to get the weight just right to make the pads grip sufficiently. Visible through the tabletop is the lower shelf with exquisitely cut half-sawn wood veneer. Made in Slovenia.
