Thomas' concept is simple. The design concept is to mix unrelated historic design styles -- art nouveau, 60's pop art, 70's minimalism, 18th century baroque -- and reinterpret these disparate periods into a unique style with a coordinated color palette that works with today’s interiors. Price points are accessible to attract a stylish and design driven youth. The rugs featured in this collection all have a common trait; they all share high quality wool with the finest construction available. Both the tufted pile and the woven durries are created using New Zealand wool which is considered to be the most premium level wool that combines the maximum sheen with the highest longevity. Slight difference in color, size, or shape is consistent with the nature of a handmade product and does not reflect a defect in the product. Shedding is part of the natural wear-in process and is also a characteristic of fine wool rugs.

Modern Zebra Rug, 8' x 11' Details Animal-print rug with beige and black zebra stripes. Hand-tufted wool. Size is approximate. Imported. See our Rug Guide for tips on how to measure for a rug, choosing weaves and patterns, and more. Please note: Rugs (especially wool rugs) are prone to a natural shedding process. With regular vacuuming, the shedding will decrease over time. Hand-knotted rugs tend to shed less than hand-tufted rugs, and flatweave rugs will shed less than those with a deeper pile, but all rugs will shed more in high-traffic areas than they do in lower-traffic spaces. Unfortunately, we cannot provide rug swatches at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. We recommend using a rug pad with every indoor rug to prolong its beauty by minimizing everyday wear and tear and providing a little breathing space to help prevent fiber damage. A pad also helps stabilize the rug, reducing slippage on hard floors. Color: BLACK/ECRU.

  • CB2 Granada Rug 8'x10'
    cb2.com
De españa. We love pieces inspired by travel. Case in point, this hand-knotted rug designed by Matthew Lew. After exploring an ancient Moorish castle outside Granada, Spain, Matthew "was obsessed with the detail and design," and wanted to create something similar. The creative process went like this: Using a digital sketch mixed with photography, the artist created a pattern rich in tone and texture. Then in preparation for weaving, the wool is dyed to create bold colors with a slight heathered effect (for a distressed feel). Finally, master rug makers weave the dyed wool on traditional vertical looms bringing to life the artist's intricate design. Fringed ends finish the look. Truly a work of art and an amazing addition to any space. Learn more about Matthew Lew on our blog.
