Color matching is not an easy job ... but I will try to show you some tips that we should all know... :)
O1. One of the basic rules on color blocking is to mix cool colors (blue to green) with warm (red to yellow) or contrasted. & the third, it should be a similar tone to one of the two.
O2. Color blocking allows you to combine garments in a way that would not have thought so far. There are tones that even if they appear are joined by a bond and complementary. To find out, use a color wheel.
In this color wheel you can see that the complementary colors are opposite each other.
O3. Use a maximum of 3 colours, unless you are a pro at colour block and you can use 4 without looking weird.
To use 3 colors there are three ways to choose them:
- Analogous color scheme: You have to choose three colors in a row
- Triadic color scheme: you have to form a perfect triangle with the colors, starting with a color you want, let three colors free and there we find our second color, repeat this procedure and found our third color.
- Split-Complementary color scheme
A good guide to use 4 colors can be these schemes:
- Rectangle (tetradic) color scheme: What you have to do is change the position of the lines, depending on the base color you want to use.
- Square color scheme
O4. To highlight the bright colors, make sure not to take more than two pieces of equal intensity. For example, if you want to wear your yellow skinny jeans is best not to combine with a pink top, a dark top will keep all the focus on the pants. Instead, you can add some accessories like vibrant blue shoes or mint green bag. The key is balance.
O5. If the colors are bold, it is important to choose simple garments, "classy", preferably in good materials, well cut and fall. Avoid patterns, use solid clear colours only.
O6. If you don't feel comfortable with orange pants and a purple top, use color blocking for accessories: bag, clutch, belt, shoes. & if already complete the three colors in clothes, choose the shoes or bag in one of those tones.
O7. If you are wearing three bright pieces of clothing, keep your shoes and accesories in neutral colors.
O7. Use the colors according to your figure. An orange skinny jeans will gain more attention to the wide hips and a lime green top will highlight your swimmer's shoulders. In general, the color will work best if block follows the normal rules that the shape of your body demands. With a pear shaped body, better choose darker colors on the bottom. If it is round, avoid horizontal blocks of color around the stomach area, but highlight the legs with skinny jeans in bright colors. A body shaped like an hourglass will be highlighted with a block of color around the waist.
O8. And if finally fluorine or flashy colors are not for you, stay in the palette that you feel comfortable ... in balance with yourself.
Hope this help you all :)
