hallo there perfect! its your Australian/Californian tipper! anywho you all know i surf a lot and you know salt water really dries out your hair...and i don't know about you but i hate unhealthy hair! like a lot...so i thought i'd share with you my ways of keeping my hair healthy and fabulous!!! so read on!!
+WASH YOUR HAIR WITH GOOD SHAMPOO:
a lot of people say that washing hair too often will dry out your hair, get rid of the natural oils, and damage it. so most people will go days without washing it and its GREASY!!!...shoot to shampoo your hair at most every other day! not weeks!
+USE CONDITIONER DEPENDING ON YOUR HAIR TYPE:
a great rule that i always follow is to condition your hair every time you shampoo it. but you should deep condition once a week! but beware when you are using products with too much protein!! too much protein can leave your hair feeling desiccated and brittle. while protein is the building block of healthy hair, use conditioners that come with balanced ingredients!!
+DON"T BRUSH YOUR HAIR TOO MUCH:
okay s horrible as this sounds it really works! i have wavy hair so i dont really bother anyway but if you are going to brush it it should be after you shower and you run a comb through it once or twice. brushing can pull hairs from where its growing, create split-ends, and create irritation.
+LET YOUR HAIR DRY NATURALLY:
when you get out of the shower, give your hair a quick pat-down, squeezing the hair gently between the towel. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT EVER rub the hair, this can weaken the hair and make the hair brittle and dull. when you are dont give your hair a quick brush-through to get rid of tangles and let your hair dry naturally. please try not to use a blow-drier because healthy hair doesn't respond that well to heat. if you have to use a blow-drier, dry your hair using the LOWEST temperature setting and limit usage to once a week. if you shower before you sleep overnight, put your hair up in a bun and let it air-dry overnight!
+TRIM YOUR HAIR REGULARLY:
the awesomest way to get rid of split ends is to...go the salon! haha yep trust the professionals! a lot of women with perfect hair never have split ends because they make it a priority to get their hair trimmed, or trim it themselves, every 6-8 weeks.
because hair is made of proteins, make sure that you eat a balanced diet rich in lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. healthy diets will give you better-looking, better-feeling hair.
