Hey, it's @leah-weasley here(: i LOVEEE mince pies, they're so nice! here's a great recipe for them:

iNGREDiENTS ; ;

- 2OOg plain flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1OOg margarine/hard butter
- 3-4 tablespoons cold water
- beaten egg (to glaze)
- 35Og mincemeat (sweet)
- icing sugar

- preheat oven to 22O°C/fan 21O°C/gas mark 7/428°F

- makes 12 mince pies

O1. grease tin.

O2. sieve flour and salt. cut the margarine/butter into the flour and rub in lightly. the mixture should look like dry crumbs.

O3. gradually add the water, 2 tablespoons at a time. use a table knife to mix to a firm dough.

O4. knead very lightly on a floured surface until smooth. leave in a refrigerator to 'relax' before rolling.

O5. roll out 2/3 of the dough thinly. use a large cutter to make circles. put the circles into the tin neatly and brush down the edges with water.

O6. place 1 teaspoon of mincemeat in each.

O7. roll our the remaining pastry and cut out circles to go on top of the mince pies (if you have shaped cookie cutters, e.g. stars, you can use them instead). place on top of each pie and press around the edges with a fork. 

O8. glaze with egg and prick them with a fork.

O9. bake in the oven for 1O minutes, then lower heat and cook for another 6-8 minutes. cool on a wire tray.

1O. when serving, sprinkle with icing sugar.
