This is the secret to beautiful skin, I'm convinced. I've tried everything to clean the nasty gunk from the pores on my nose and clear my minor acne problems. This is it.
The castor oil sucks the dirt from your pores, while the olive oil softens, heals and helps carry away the dirt. Others have found grape seed oil, rose oil or almond oil works well in place of olive oil. The ratio varies from person to person, so experiment in the beginning to see what works for you. The castor oil can be a little drying, and it is what's doing all the dirty work, so I wouldn't recommend anything more then 3:1 caster oil.
Steaming is important as it is what opens your pores and allows the clean oils to work on the dirty oils sitting on your face.
Washing your face with oil can be scary since it goes against everything we've been taught, but your skin produces oil for a reason, it's good for it! Also, typical drug store products all have water as a first ingredient; water and oil don't mix, so how well is it cleaning the dirty oils on your skin? This method also eliminates that morning after ultra greasy, shiny face since your skin is no longer having to over produce oil to replenish what you washed off.
This is what I use, and I hope you all try it. Others have warned of a "purging period" where the solution sucks years of abuse from your pores and makes you break out at first, but this did not happen to me. Hope you'll at least look into it!
