hey everyone! foundation is really tricky to apply, you don't want to look like your wearing a mask! just so you don't get that caked - on look, im sharing some tips i found .
step one [ find your perfect color ] ♡
you should test the foundation on your jawline. if it disappears without blending, it's the right color. if you need help deciding what your right shade is ; here's a sneaky [ and inexpensive! ] tip. go to a department store and get a beauty adviser to help you find the perfect shade. ask for a sample and take that home. next time you go to the drugstore, bring the sample to help you.
step two [ prep your skin ] ♡
make sure your skin is clean and moisturize. wait at least five minutes after applying moisturizer to let it sink in before you apply foundation. you can skip primer unless you know it's going to be a long day.
step three [ swipe it on the right way ] ♡
if you want just a little coverage, swipe it on with your finger. for more coverage, use a sponge. for everyday, fab foundation only where you need it to hide pimples or red spots.
step four [ do concealer after foundation ] ♡
look for a concealer that's a little lighter than your shade [ but not light or else it'll look fake! ] . dab it on the darkest of under eye circles or on pimples that the foundation didn't quite get.
step five [ finish with powder ] ♡
starting at your hairline, swoop down to your cheekbone, up the bridge of your nose, back down the other cheek, then up again to the opposite hairline, all in a W motion.
