I love scary movies but sometimes they can be a little hard to handle. So, the next time you decide to pop in that old copy of Friday the 13th, make sure you're prepared with these tips :D
1. Get your favorite fluffy blanket ready. The last thing you want is to be cold, or uncomfortable. You need to feel like you can cuddle up and protect yourself from the demons on TV.
2: Grab a teddyyy. A stuffed animal will be your best friend. It will give you something to squeeze and give you reassurance that you're NOT gunna die.
3: If you have an animal that will sit with you and snuggle, now is the time to grab it. A cat, a guinea pig, a dog. Anything. Pretty much there for the same reason as the stuffed animal.
4: Food. You need food. Scary movies are the ONLY time that I will recommend stress eating. Just don't make a habit of it. Also, don't drink. You run the risk of jumping and spilling it all over you, or having an...well...accident...
5: Last but not least, talk to someone. This will help take your mind off of the movie for a minute and give your body a break from the tension. Texting, Facebook, etc.
And that's it :D If you have any questions or concerns let me know :) Good luck ~Kyrsten
