“I don't think I should drink.” I said to Santiago as he put a red cup in my hands. He burst into laughter, staring at me intently.

“It's fruit punch, Stas. No alcohol, I promise.” He nodded as I downed the drink in small gulps. It was nice and cold. I thanked him and proceeded to lurk around the room absentmindedly. I bumped into Genie while staring at Gabriel who was caught up talking to Elena.

“What'cha doing?” Genie asked as she gave me a once over.

“Nothing.” I blushed, picking at the empty cup in my hands.

“You don't do fun stuff, do you?” She asked. “Sorry, that came off in a rude way.” Genie corrected herself almost instantly. “I meant—”

“I know what you mean.” I nodded. “I'm just, I...” I began to think of a reason why I was so dull, almost Mary-Sue like. Then I realized I had always strived to make my parents proud of me, that's why. “Parents.” I replied.

“Oh, gotcha.” Genie nodded. “But they're not around. They won't always be, y'know...”

“Oh, I know. I just don't want them to hear from me, that's all.” I said.

“Look, how about we grab a drink. Just one.”

I thought about it for a minute. “Sure, why not?”

If there's something I learned tonight, it was that I wasn't a lightweight. I should have been impressed, but at the same time I knew better. Dad loved his drinks very much, so I guess I got that from him. Drinking turned out to be exciting. Alexis prepared some mojitos while Genie tried her luck on the karaoke against Rose. Santiago jumped from behind them, startling them and causing for Genie to shriek onto the microphone, leaving everyone deaf for a minute.

“You're such an as.shole.” Rose laughed, shoving him playfully to the side.

“Thank you, I try my hardest.” He winked at her, snatching the microphone from her hands. “Stas, come on. Let's belt out to some lovely Disney tunes.”

“Oh, not me.” I shook my head fervently, downing the mojito that Alexis prepared for me. She put her arm on my shoulder, encouraging me to take on the stage.

“Do it. It's fun.” She smiled, “I'll save your drink for later.”

“I don't really like singing in public, well I do, but I'm afraid they'll judge me.” I said way too fast for her to understand.

“Go.” She laughed.

“O-kay.” I said, the alcohol giving me courage to sing.

I picked 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' because if there's a song that reminds me of home, that is. Back there I used to babysit with JuJu and we bonded over it. The kids always liked my Mary Poppins impression and JuJu's Bert. Santiago and I began singing, dancing included and everyone cheered.

“How does she even pronounce that?” Gabriel demanded, his eyes bored on me.

Elena laughed, “Anyone can do it.”

“I think this is the first time I've seen Nastassia genuinely having a good time.” Rose pointed out to Genie and Alexis, who nodded enthusiastically.

“It's the drinks.” Alexis winked at her.

“Oh.” Rose and Genie nodded.

The song came to an end and everyone clapped, congratulating us for quite the performance. I wasn't ready to let go of the microphone, so I asked the girls to join me for a rendition of 'Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride', to which Genie reacted very eager, snatching the microphone from a startled Elena, who glared at her then shook it off, singing louder to outshine us. The boys decided to sing next, giving all they got to 'Poor Unfortunate Souls', with Santiago dancing seductively as Ursula.

After all the jumping, I took a seat next to Hannah. My stomach clenched, I didn't think it was a good idea to dance after all...

“Are you okay?” She asked curiously while I turned a shade of green.

“I don't feel so good.” I replied vaguely, standing up and rushing to the nearest bathroom. Well, there went the mojitos and all the drinks I had. I washed my mouth and walked back to the living room. Everyone was back to normal, chatting with each other happily. My head was pounding, so I figured I'd call it a night. Except that Santiago and Hannah found me and dragged me back to the party.

“Come on, you're going to love this drink.” Hannah smirked, shaking a concoction on a glass. I stared at it and groaned.

“I've had enough for tonight.” I said.

“But it's a Adios Motherf.cker, you'll thank me later.” Santiago said.

“That sounds intense.” I pointed out.

“Oh, it is.” He smirked. “Try it.”

“Holy sh.t, what is that?” I asked, staring at the red cup with my eyes wide open.

“Just the drink you needed.” Hannah shrugged.

“But I've had too many shots tonight.” I slurred, still downing the drink.

“Um, okay, that's the last one for tonight.” Santiago said. He always bossed me around, like I was a child or something. It wasn't fair, he always flirted with the rest of the girls but I was some sort of alien to him.

“Santiago, am I ugly?” I asked, feeling depressed all of a sudden. Probably some side effect from the alcohol.

He snorted, “No, why do you ask that?”

“I don't know. I hate everyone.” I pouted. “I think I'll have a nap.” I walked towards Henry's couch, plopping onto it, letting my eyelids shut.
