bio; If there was one person who you could count on to make a hospital run like a well-oiled-machine, it would be Brianne. She works together with Lena to make sure the ER and the rest of the hospital run smoothly together. I suppose you could say she’s taken charge of the nurses, and she doesn’t let you forget it. It’s not as if she rubs it in your face, but she won’t let you mess with her or any of the other nurses in her charge. She is a very opinionated person, and she lets you know where you stand with her. She speaks her mind, and she doesn’t let anyone walk all over her. What people don’t know about her is that she has quite a soft spot for her little boy. He’s three years old, and he just started head-start. She loves him to death, and if the people she works with could see her with her son, they wouldn’t know what to think. It’s as if she is a completely different person. However, Brianne has noticed that something is missing from their lives. The truth is, a boy needs a father, and a woman needs a man to feel complete in a family. She loves being a single mother, but if she finds love will she push it away?

“What are you doing?” I asked one of my nurses. She is new, and I think her name is Karen.
“Doctor Peters told me to discharge this man.” She said.
“This says that he has severe abdominal pain. Did you run tests?” I asked.
“The doctor said to just give him a Percocet and he’d be fine.” She replied.
“He is ninety years old Karen! Unless he is a woman going into labor, he shouldn’t be having abdominal pains, therefore he shouldn’t be released!” I told her.
“What’s going on here?” Doctor Peters asked.
“Why did you tell her to release him. Clearly he’s still in pain- even /with/ the Percocet.” I replied.
“Oh, well. I was just checking to see that the nurses were still on their toes.” He said, cunningly.
“No. You are NOT going to blame this on my nurses. If you can’t do your job, I will go to Lena and tell her so myself.” I said, as I stormed away.
I was going to find Doctor Samuels. She was one of the best doctors at the hospital, and one of my closest friends. She knew what she was doing, and I’d rather have her here 24/7 than Mister “God’s gift to womankind”. I honestly don’t know why he was ever hired in the first place. When I found Doctor Samuels she was organizing some papers.
“Can you come with me please?” I asked.
“Is it Dr. Peters with the elderly abdominal pain patient?” she asked.
“How did you know?” I grumbled.
“You always look like you’ve fought a battle after conversing with Dr. Peters.” She laughed.
“Just, approve some tests please. Gallbladder, Kidneys, the works...” I pleaded.
“Tell me again why you’re not a doctor?” she chuckled.
Doctor Samuels is a pleasant woman. She is almost thirty, with long dark hair and dark eyes. She moved here from Lebanon when she was sixteen. She is, in my opinion, the best doctor at this hospital. I am happy to call her my friend. The next person who came into the ER was a small boy and his mother. They had been brought here by the ambulance, and the mother was in bad shape. She had cuts on her face and on the top of her head. She was bleeding profusely, and she had bruises and a broken nose. Her whole face was blackened. Her son wasn’t much better off. He had cuts and bruises, and his arm was broken as well. Apparently, the husband had beaten the mother and the son to a pulp. He was now in jail, and wasn’t going to get out any time soon. I immediately got a doctor to help them, and a team of doctors and nurses began patching them up. X-rays, stitches, glass removal, etc. You name it we did it. At the end of my shift, I was ready for sleep. I was ready to go home, snuggle up with my baby boy, and sleep until I couldn’t sleep anymore.
@flowersforalice and @jolieenrose ; I finished the set. I hope it's okay!
