Sorry, I was just about to post this when I noticed that there's already a fire manipulator. Should I change her power?
Name: Kwon Sohyun
Age and Year: 17/year 6
Superpower: Fire Manipulation; she can create and control fire with varying degrees of control based on the level of difficulty, due to her power she can also somewhat control her own body temperature which is generally always above the average temperature but can also greatly exceed the average to the point in which it is dangerous for others.
Dangerous: Once upon a time little Sohyun used to practically be the poster child for the dangerous kids and now the only difference is that she’s the poster child for previously dangerous kids from the Academy. Her power can be dangerous if she wills it to be, which she wouldn’t unless a dire situation comes up, but generally it’s dangerous due to lack of control or focus. Although Sohyun doesn’t have a short temper when she does snap or becomes highly emotional there have been cases where she has struck out without thinking. She has also accidentally burnt a few people who have felt the need to touch her when her temperature had been at a very high point.
Weakness: It’s quite stereotypical but water does affect her powers when it’s in great amount, stick her on a boat and she won’t be happy, put her in a small pool and you’ll soon have a hot tub. Lack of oxygen also affects her faster than it affects normal people; since fire consumes oxygen and needs it to survive she needs double the amount and is affected by the lack of it twice as quickly as anyone else.
Sohyun had a typical life growing up; two parents who were busy working but loved her; and an older brother whom she loved and wanted to kill at the same time for being overprotective and teasing her all of the time. Then she caught a cold which was perfectly normal till her mother had to check her temperature five times before finally rushing her to the hospital. At that point all her mother knew was that either her daughter was quite literally setting records for body temperature or she was having severe eye problems herself. Testing carried on after that till she was annoyed to the point at which she melted whatever they tried to poke or stab her with next, she later claimed lack of control but that was the first time actually had control. When her parents were told why their eight year old was heating the room so much that air conditioner had to be turned on full blast during the winter they were too relieved that she wasn’t dying to care about anything else. Her brother found this all quite amusing and enjoyed spraying water in her face to watch it evaporate immediately or passing her drinks to warm up for him. They didn’t talk about her powers too much in public, they weren’t exactly sure how it would change the way people treated her, and life continued on till her brother’s friend admitted to his own powers and that he would be attending EPIK Academy. When she was old enough she started to attend the Academy as well and was quite thankful that she was already stabilized there when puberty hit and her emotions started to take control of her powers. During her time at the Academy she was transferred in and out of the “dangerous” classes which helped her gain and lose friends but now she’s firmly back in the regular department. There are still a few burn marks around her and her friends know to check if she’s approachable before engulfing her in a hug but everything is going quite well at the moment.
Sohyun is as warm as her element. She’s more than happy to help her friends out and for someone that accidentally burns others she loves to give hugs and is quite the animal person as well; cold blooded animals in particular adore her. It doesn’t matter if she’s reading a book while her friends are chatting in the background or if she’s in the middle of a party, or a campfire, she simply adores being around other people; even if they do sometimes find her odd for wearing a tank top in winter. Because of this however she finds it extremely difficult when she accidentally burns one of her friends or has to put herself in temporary exile while she calms down and takes her powers under control. While she is generally a friendly person that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t fight back when provoked. Her biggest issue would probably be when she feels as if one of her friends, or really anyone she considers to be decent enough, is being attacked. For someone that doesn’t enjoy having an overprotective brother she’s quite overprotective herself, it just comes with a few more side effects than it does with regular people. Although Sohyun is quite capable of taking a joke, something else she learned thanks to her brother, there are times when she feels as if she’s being pushed too far or being taken advantage of and you don’t want to see her snap. The thing that would cause most people to pause before acting out on anything that might bother her isn’t the possibility of being quite literally being burned; it’s the verbal lashing that she’ll give them. The bystanders enjoy her displays however; a verbal lashing along with either steam quite literally coming off of her head or her even breathing a bit of smoke can be highly entertaining. Her brother sometimes tells her that she’s taking her power a bit too far when she’s practically the personification of fire but all that does is bother her more. She loves her power even though it makes things a bit difficult for her at times, but she is scared of it in a way others might not think of. What scares her, sometimes even more than the idea of being stuck on a raft in the middle of the ocean, is that she’s too linked to her power and that the person she is today is all because of the fact that she can create and control fire. Of course if someone else called her out on this or even brought it to her in a friendlier and concerned manner she would brush them off, this worry is something she keeps to herself and hides behind smiles and jokes.

Name: Chae Daniel
Age and Year: 18/year 7
Superpower: Intangibility. He’s able to pass through or “phase” through objects. So far he hasn’t found an object he can’t phase through but he can’t retain his phasing form for an infinite amount of time. Currently he can hold his phasing form for around two hours till he has to retreat to his regular form for a varied amount of time before once again being able to phase. Not only can he pass through solid objects while phasing but he’s also immune to psychic and temperature based attacks, if the attack is extremely strong however he will at the very least feel some side effects.
Dangerous: Not at all. The only way this could be dangerous would be for someone’s sanity or privacy, having his head pop through a wall isn’t exactly pleasant for most people.
Weakness: Retaining his form for too long can give him severe side-effects. He’s only reached the two hour mark once and after that he spent the rest of the day in bed dead to the world. If he’s in a weakened state beforehand he might end up with a strong headache and dizziness. Although he hasn’t found a substance he can’t phase through yet the professors keep him grounded by reminding him that there probably is something out there that won’t be affected by his powers.
In Daniel’s family powers have been scattered around the family tree; his uncle, grandmother and a few cousins have powers, so no one was too surprised or worried when his became evident. His powers showed up when Daniel continued to wake up in the living room instead of his bedroom no matter how much he insisted that he was absolutely not sleep walking. When the same thing happened with his bedroom door remaining locked everyone had a pretty good idea as to what was happening. He’s actually the one that mentioned EPIK Academy to the Kwon family when he noticed how the temperature seemed to always change around Sohyun and how her ice cream was always the first to melt when they were enjoying the cool treat in the summer. His time at the Academy has been filled with flirting, jokes and generally having a really good time, and then Sohyun came. Technically she came a year after him and except for keeping an eye on her and showing her around they didn’t really interact too much. Of course she had to go off and be listed as one of the more dangerous prone students and he had been dragged in due to their past and his power being able to keep him safe. As soon as everything calmed down he was able to return to his usual ways but he continues to keep a close eye on her.
Once upon a time he was a sweet and somewhat mischievous boy, and then hormones kicked in. With encouragement from his best friend the elder of the Kwon siblings, he managed to turn into a bit of a playboy right along with his friend. He can be sweet with his pretty boy smile, or he can take you out on a motorcycle ride before “accidentally” showing off his tattoos and how easily he can fit into the typical bad boy persona. Daniel practically demands to be the centre of attention and will flirt, joke and outright steal your heart and the spotlight if he has to. That doesn’t mean that he doesn’t enjoy a bit of alone time to shockingly enough read classic literature of all things, this is something that no one would believe if they saw. If one wishes to find Daniel they’d only have to wait and listen for someone yelling at him or find the largest party or gathering. Oddly enough for all of his possibly obnoxious ways, poking his nose and the rest of his head where it doesn’t belong, he’s actually quite skilled socially and always seems to know what to say, especially around the opposite gender.
