-Andy Warhol [on being asked by Paul Taylor:
What about your transformation from being a commercial artist to a real artist?]
EWSS
Chloe
STORY TIME!!! Hehe.
[RP]
Current State of Chloe
Currently Listening to: "Tire Swing" by Kimya Dawson
Mood: Anxious
Hair: Neat, straight
Makeup: Fairly light, foundation, mascara, you get the point.
At: Brown University
Hanging out with: Katherine Bergeron, the dean of Brown
Currently: At her interview
I felt like I was going to pee in my pants. Shitt. This was it, this is what I had dreamed of for so long. To get into Brown. I wasn't a legacy at all, my parents went to Harvard. I really did connect with Brown though, it was amazing. Everything about it was amazing.
The dean spoke then, she obviously saw that I wanted to get this done.
"Tell me something about yourself."
"I'm Chloe Sophia Kartania. I'm 16, but I'll be 17 soon. I go to EWSS, and I'm an incoming Junior. However I've discussed with the school officials the possibility of skipping a grade to be a senior next year. I'm from New York."
"And, who ARE you? Miss Kartania?"
Great fuuck.
"I'm, I'm Chloe. The one and only Chloe. I'm an individual, I try not to lie, but sometimes it's convenient to do so. I'll never lie about my opinion though, and if I start to talk about something I'm passionate about, then I'll never be quiet about it for the rest of the day. That's me. I'm a free-spirit, I do as I please, but I try to think about what I do. I'm the exact opposite of myself, I'm shy, yet I'm outgoing. I'll scream in your face at random times, or I won't speak once. I love to read, and writing is my passion. I want nothing more then to be a journalist. I don't want to be a famous journalist though, being famous scares me. I don't want to be stalked. What I do with my free time is random, I feel like I can do anything yet I feel like I'm extremely restricted for everything. I'm awful at arguing, I try to please both sides, yet I try not to. I need to work on not pleasing people. My mom is a genius, no doubt, but she sometimes doesn't understand. I love life because it's unexpected. Who knows what you'll do tomorrow, you know? I have the best friends at my school, I love them all. I know a lot of people say that, but I really really do mean it. I mean everything I say, I try to goof off at times, but I also try to be serious. I love just sipping coffee and doing nothing, just letting my thoughts wonder. Doing nothing is what makes me most happy. I'll randomly write about anything, anything at all. The teenage girl in the blue sweater who is secretly insecure, the garbage man who wishes he could be more. I believe everyone has potential, everyone. I'm Chloe, it's nice to meet you."
[more of the interview with Andy Warhol]
Paul Taylor: Then what's a commercial artist?
Andy Warhol: I don't know - someone who sells art.
Paul Taylor: So almost all artists are commerical artists, just to varying degrees.
Andy Warhol: I think so.
