Yes, I would say the Mayflower is very DAR-ish. Grand events are held there. Not infrequently, if you hear a cavalcade, it's on the way to the Mayflower with some dignitary, if not the president himself. Just think, one day we will be able to say "the president herself"!

@kateolive I misspoke about the olive - it appears black & brown to me and it may be my vision tricking me again. The Mayflower looks like a beautiful place to be. Very DAR-ish!

It's a beautiful skirt. It looks like black and olive to me. I, too, love red and grey and have quite a bit of it. It's a powerful and uplifting combination to wear. Of course, I was being tongue in cheek about the shocking vividness of the skirt. These things don't always come across in electronic media :) I love the Mayflower. What a perfect outfit to wear there!

I think it's more likely the New York influence. There were an awful lot of us in DC; not so many left coasters.
