In designing this outfit the foremost concern has been maintaining the balance of rebellion and princess the way Rinoa always seems to do.
I've left off the wings in favor of feathers and matching the color scheme to her main outfit. Soft touches like the bow in the headband, powdery hued scarf and the cuff that replaces the arm warmers remind us of her "Princess" moniker.
Meanwhile, her rebellion is clearly represented with high heeled "combat" boots, a skirt sure to make Caraway object, and matching wallet.
For those with an eye for detail Ultimecias feather in her headband hints at something darker still*...
1- Headband with feathers and a bow: The feather is stolen from ultimecia, and the bow stolen from her arm, tying together the concepts in the outfit for anyone familiar with the Rinoa/Ultimecia theory.
2- Scarf- representative of her duster, it also adds a much needed splash of color
3- Boots- These are actually impressively close to her in game shoe. The only difference I could spot was the strap is about 2 inches too high, and they aren't flats. Pretty awesome, if I say so myself!
4- The feather, a symbol she shares with Ultimecia, was chosen for her ring as a reference to the ties that bind them.
5- Cuff Bracelet- Chosen in place of her arm warmers, this lacy piece helps keep the feminine balance in the outfit
6- Bandage Skirt- Instead of her weird jean skirt/black shorts combo I've gone with a (very sexy) black skirt.
7- Shirt- In contrast to the tight skirt selected a loose shirt with a breezy pattern, once again highlighting her feather symbology.
8- Clutch- Finishing the edgy touches and completing the look is a leather wallet with lines matching the eyebrow raising skirt.
* See the Ultimecia/Rinoa theory(spoiler alert!) if you don't already know what I'm talking about.
