An artistic disciple of Christ, with a deep love for the lost and a call to ministry, dear Maybelle shines God's Light wherever she goes.
1.) Hello dear, please present yourself and tell us who you are.
I'm Maybelle Claveria from the Philippines, 23 years old, I graduated Bachelor in Broadcast Communication and now I am currently studying at Cathedral of Praise Bible College.
2.) What are your favorite worship/praise songs?
I love Christian music because it has so many genres, I'm really loving the music of Lecrea and Britt Nicole now. My favorite worship songs are I will Run by Freddie Rodriguez, Lord I give you my Heart, and a lot more =)
3.) What is your favorite Bible passage and why?
"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me."- (1 Corinthians 15:10)
Because, it is by the grace of God that we are saved, who we are and what we are right now is because of His grace and that grace enables us to live our Christian life. This verse reminds me that grace is not free because its cost is the blood of Christ but everything that grace provides is free, as a result of the grace given to me I work hard, harder than them all, with the strength God provides, it reminds me that everything I've done and everything that I will do for Him is not by my might nor by my power but by His Spirit and the grace he poured on my life abundantly.
4.) Describe your encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ and how accepting Him as Savior has changed your life?
I got saved through one of school's activity, 11 years ago, when a pastor preached about Jesus and His love and when he invited people to respond I came to the front and gave life to Jesus that day. Since then my life changed, I found a church where I grew in faith and in my walk with Christ and years after that our whole family was saved and until now we are actively serving God. We have seen God's faithfulness in all His promises in our lives, how He provided for us, prospered us, and blessed the works of our hands, we have seen His favor upon our lives and now I am given the opportunity and privilege to be called by God to serve Him in the full time ministry. It is a joy to serve the KING of kings and the LORD of lords.
5.) What ministry are you serving God in or would like to serve in (prophetic, acting, prison outreach, teaching, missionary, dance, evangelical, art..)?
I am currently part of our church's dance ministry and I am also in the team ministry, in our team ministry we do evangelism, feeding programs, prison crusades, campus crusades wherein we go to different universities in Manila and we hold crusades, we also do special services for our elders. We are also part of our church productions and musicales.
One day, if God willing I would like to be a part of a media ministry, it is really my hearts' desire to serve God using media, to use this as a tool in reaching out to people to who needs to know the love of God and what Jesus Christ did for them.
6.) What are your spiritual goals, weaknesses and strengths?
My spiritual goals are to be consistent in my daily devotions, to be soak in the Word of God so that my mind will be renewed everyday through His living and acting Word, another is to be more prayerful in everything and in anything, to be more fervent in my prayers.
My weaknesses: sometimes when my emotions starts my logic ends
My strengths: I am a very persevering person, I make sure I get things done.
7.) Lastly, your message of LOVE to the world♥
Luke 10:27 He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
LOVE THE BELIEVERS ENOUGH TO CARE FOR THEM
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
LOVE GOD AS YOU REACH OUT TO THE LOST
Acts 3:6-7 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
REMEMBER GOD LOVES YOU AND JESUS LOVES YOU
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
